anthony tMy experience with this U-Haul location was lackluster from beginning to end. When I arrived to pick up the truck, one employee was sitting and holding a dog while the other was at the register. Both were engaged in a conversation with a customer whose transaction appeared to already be finished. Instead of one of the employees stepping away from the conversation to assist me, I had to wait until the customer himself moved out of the way. There was also no walk-through or inspection of the truck with me before I left. The truck was tidy, but it was not clean. It had an unpleasant smell, and there was visible dust and crumbs stuck in the creases. I was never told that I would need to use the app to check the equipment back in when I returned it, even though I returned during normal operating hours. When I dropped the truck off, both employees were again sitting. Neither got up to receive the vehicle or conduct a return inspection. I handed over the keys and was simply told, “I got you checked in, girl.” There was no inspection with me at pickup and no inspection with me at return. Nothing about the experience was disastrous, but the overall level of customer service, communication, cleanliness, and attention to the rental process was underwhelming. A little more attentiveness and professionalism would have made a significant difference.
