The mobile check out was awesome
The guy and lady there was so rude. They wouldn't come check the truck. Wasn't polite in telling me where to park the truck. There customers service skills needs improvement.
When we arrived they did not have a truck ready for us. They didn't speak good English. She asked me where I wanted to return the truck, I responded "In Madison where I reserved to drop it off." She gave us a contract and a key. We then discovered after leaving that the truck leaks severely. Next, we discovered that she changed our reservation to an in town pick up instead of a one way. The contract says in town but the key to the truck said one. Doesn't make sense. So I spent over an hour on the phone this morning trying to get it worked out. No apologies were given nor even a discount or refund. Your outsourcing companies dont have a clue what they are doing. I wont rent from them again. When we went to drop off the truck the man who handles the uhaul truck rentals was not even there so we had to speak over the phone which he did correct the payment. I'm completely disappointed with uhaul today. Poor service to the max.
They suck. No other words for it. It was at a gas station, which was poor judgement on my part. There was only one person who could actually do a transaction and she went missing for days after I turned it in, even when I went back to get my money back she wasnâ€™t there. It was supposed to be $66, but it turned out to be way more. Just donâ€™t go here, ok?
This location is run out of a convenient store not a very professional local to represent Uhaul. I was Scheduled to pick my 24 ft. Truck up at the Pelham location but I was told they didnâ€™t have the 24ft truck that I call and reserved! Then someone from the Pelham location call me Monday morning asking where the truck was. I informed him that I took the truck back to the Hover location on Saturday, I pick the truck up on 5/8 in the gas tank. I bought it back on full. I lady at the Hoover location said she could not credit me for the extra fuel. You better believe if I had bought it back below 5/8 she would have changed me!! I was told the bill would be 298.77 why I was charged 376 Iâ€™m not sure. I will look for a different company next time!!
Language was an issue at both locations but in both cases, another person helped who was more fluent
First of all, when I say Iâ€™m moving and the place sets it up for me and tells me I can return it anywhere in the area then the other location says they set it up as in town rental so therefore I have to return it at the location I picked it up at. Which charges me MORE gas and MORE per mile and I had to drive an additional 40 miles because of someone elseâ€™s mistake. When I finally get back to this location the man said he will have the head lady call me. Since they made the mistake. That call NEVER happened. Then I finally get a receipt 5 days later saying itâ€™s an ADDITIONAL $96. This is about the WORST place and business. Iâ€™m highly upset and dissatisfied. I will NEVER use or recommend UHaul or this business ever again.
I drove exactly 12 miles and was charged for four gallons of gas. I told the employee that the tires were low and needed air. He pointed outside and told me the air pumps were out there. Iâ€™m renting a truck from this moron and he canâ€™t even air up the tires? NEVER AGAIN! It was like a customer service nightmare! My 24 yr. old son was with me and he even wanted to just leave and go somewhere else!
The people there have a nasty attitude and smart mouth

I left a small piece of carpet in back on purpose. Thought it might be useful for the next renter. Charged me a $40 dollar cleaning fee. What a rip-off!!! Also, moving help that I reserved in hover didnâ€™t show. Need a refund!!
Truck was not clean. Debris left in back of truck. Some blankets dirty
Windshield bug spattered and dirty. No washer fluid in reservoir. Person following me said there appeared to be something wrong with brake lights and turn signals - strength/brightness varied.
Very easy to check out, location was also gas station so filled up at pump and turned keys over to store clerk. First time user but loved how U haul rental locations are seemingly everywhere. Most convenient to use!
The van I used did not record the fuel correctly. When trying to fill the van half way the needle malfunctioned forcing me to fill the tank. When asking for a refund or instructions on how to return my over fill amount I was given a number 800 468 4285. The person at that number told me they were not in my city and they could not help me. I intend on filing a corporate complaint to have my over payment returned
The associate did not have any experience with U-Haul so it took the process longer. The Hoover Monach location is a very tight spaced area for a 20 ft truck without room to drive comfortably. I had issues with getting the keys due to miscommunication by representatives failing to mention that it closes at 5pm yet they reserved me for 6:30pm without mentioning the steps on using the 24 hour service I later found out about. This entire process was not effortless and did not make my moving easier as your slogan states.
The guy (Andy Echols) on call for this location was AWESOME, AMAZINGLY HELPFUL, and really saved me from a horrible experience otherwise. He answered every time I called, answered my questions, was willing to help me by extending the truck, and had a great attitude. He helped me with the following problems: 1. I couldnâ€™t find the order I placed online even with the reservation number, phone number, name, email, etc. 2. The man in the gas station didnâ€™t speak English and was not able to help in anyway (even though he was the one that was supposed to give me my key and dolly) until we called Andy who had to call another girl and we finally got it worked out. 3. I had to go back for the dolly that was supposed to be included (also probably caused by communication barriers). Overall, I will never use the online process again. It is too much trouble and Iâ€™ve had MUCH better experiences when dealing with an actual u- haul site. I cannot say enough how much I appreciate Andy for all of his help.

There was a great deal of confusion about my reservation. The person had no knowledge of it, and spoke very little English. To say it was difficult is an understatement.
Had trouble communicating with the proprietor. Very loud music was playing in the establishment and it was hard to hear and understand him.
