This was my first time moving myself. Every thing was running smoothly.
This affiliate (Dudleyâ€™s Auto Service) was very unprofessional. My pick-up time was 8:00 am. The owner arrived late and waited in his car talking on the phone. I had to inquire as to whether or not he worked there. He was dismissive and remained on his phone. I told him that I would leave and come back shortly as I needed someone to drive my vehicle back to my residence as the location pick-up was in a questionable neighborhood. The owner then stated that the business would be open when I returned.. Upon returning 20 minutes later, the owner was out and I had to wait another 10 minutes for him to return and process my order. Upon inspecting the truck, I discovered that the owner did not ensure that the gas tank was full. The gas hand was below a quarter of a tank. I informed the owner of this prior to leaving the premises and he informed me to return it as it was at pick-up. I did just that only to be charged two fuel charges totaling approximately $72.00. Upon returning the truck at 8:00 am the next morning, the business was yet again closed with no one insight. I utilized the U-Haul drop box. Overall, this was a horrible rental truck experience. This was the worst Iâ€™ve ever had. Iâ€™ve rented from U-Haul numerous times before and never had such a terrible experience. I wiki never go through a 3rd party affiliate like Dudleyâ€™s Auto Service again. In addition to Dudleyâ€™s, the U-Haul Representative that took my initial order botched up my contract and did not fulfill my request for service. As a result, I now have to dispute being overcharged via an extensive process. I am so upset and frustrated with such a poor mishandling of my rental needs.
First off, This location was fine but I will NEVER use Uhaul again. I requested a location that was open at 8am to start early but was given this location that didn't open until 9:30!!!! Which missed up my mover's ability to assist me with moving!

My beef isn't with the actual location. Please understand I am not ranting on about the ser vice if the lication, or the equipment itself. Uhaul advertisements are misleading. You can see for yourselves on their vehicles. Such as the truck that I rented. 29.99 per day. To me is 24 hours., not 22 hours. I've rented to them before and I drop off same time I pick up. This time I was charged an extra day for a couple hour difference. Plus the inconvenience of having to take pictures of everything all while being in a hurry because of a ride. I will not recommend uhaul to anyone there are many other places to rent from. Uhaul has definitely lost my business.

Very small location with limited inventory.
Made a reservation for 5:30, drove 3 hours to pick up the trailer for my move. The man who does uhaul rentals didn't show up till 6:30. The lady who works at the store there hardly spoke English and no one could get ahold of the man. Very upset I had to wait so long. I was supposed to be reimbursed and never was!
I try during the day in more than one locations close but none had personal to give te keys after using the website option. Almeda and other was no able to attend. This Post Oak location told that the truck was the only one around... and was not true. After in my way to my destination I saw a location closer full of trucks... The truck in the back was not clean. Also I ask from the beginning to return the truck in a different location. I needed to pickup at 77045 and return it on 77044 location, less than a mile from my destination and in the same city (Houston) The branch don't tell me must to return to the same location until we had the contract signed and no time to go to another location. That makes me made a round trip over the double considered to this movement, I consider 30 miles and because of that I pay for 59 miles.
I felt like I was renting from a 3rd World country.

I have been renting from UHaul for years and ALL of my past experiences have been remarkable for location, clean easily accessible locations and professional personnel, except this one. This was a rude person who made accusations of "marijuana odors" in the auto and when I disputed his claims he became belligerent, boistrous and rude. I asked him to let me smell the odor at which time he stated the truck was outside. I asked for the key at which time he went to truck and flung open the door and walked away. I stepped up into the truck where no smoke of any kind was smelled. I went back inside and he raised his voice and said "you can go, I'm done." When I first got there there was a trailer attached to the truck, the windows were up and doors were closed. If as he claimed there was such an obvious odor, wht did he not have the truck open to expel this odor? Even though he stated he was waiting for the person to come get the truck, he had not checked my rental out. I had rented this truck for a full day and estimated 50 miles but returned it 15 hours early and approximately 25 miles less and I really feel he was going to let the next person take it without checking it out of my name. I told him that he was lying about marijuana because I have never smoked any type of drugs or cigarettes and I was in the truck from the arrival at my son's home until we returned it to his business. My sons loaded and unloaded with me present since it was rented in my name. My sons are both over 40, one is manager of a business and the other is a loan office for a bank. I am appalled with this man's presentation as well as his customer service and appearance of his business. I am sending a formal written complaint to the Arizona headquarters as well as this email reply. Thank you.
The location was very unappealing and threatening, and I would not want my wife to go there alone; the agent was friendly. Although I reserved the equipment on line and refused the waiver, the agent put it on my reservation anyway. Then said maybe he could give me refund, but the paperwork would take a long time to do. So, I said forget it, just leave it on the lease. Then, trailer I assigned was old dirty and did not have safety chains, and the agent did not offer assistance to hook it up. when, I informed the agent it did not have safety chains, he said just take a different one, but no changes to the paperwork was done.
The contact to pick up the Uhaul was half an hour late. The vehicle was covered in mud inside and needed to be cleaned cashing me to be delayed by an hour.
Excellent customer service..... The Best.
