The inside of the truck had a broken energy break and it got stuck for like 15 minutes when we tried to leave and they charged me an extra 30 dollars andndidnt tell me why.

I took a late lunch to pick up a tow dolly. It took a LOT longer than I anticipated because there was only 1 employee. This wasn't her fault but it is definitely a customer service issue. The U-haul reservation experience is a nightmare. It needs an overhaul. My expectation from making an online reservation at a specific U-haul location is that the equipment that I reserve will be available at the location where I make the reservation. Otherwise what's the point of showing a specific address? When you reserve a car for pickup at the airport you don't expect to have to drive to another location to pick it up. U-haul please fix your reservation system instead of having the customer call ahead to see if the equipment is going to be available at that location.

The only problem we had was we were supposed to pickup van in Decatur and prior customer did not bring it back so they sent us to Huntsville to pick one up. When we picked it up in Huntsville we were not aware until pickup that we would not be able to return in Decatur. So after use. which consisted of driving through Huntsville to Decatur, we had to drop off furniture and then drive back to Huntsville to drop the van off. Leaving us with approximately 30 extra miles we had to pay for. The attendant apologized and told us since it was not our fault to call the 1-800 number and the probably would give a credit. and the answer 24 hrs. I have called 4 times was on hold for an extended period and then was hung up on by the computer!!!!

1-I reserved at a location in Madison and was required to drive 10 miles further into Huntsville to pick up the vehicle, costing me 20 miles extra in mileage 2-I filled the tank back up to where it was before I rented, even turning on the key to double check - but I was charged $8.50 for extra gas when I returned it. I asked why and got no answer. Won't go there again to rent.

I had to use my blower to clean out the back. And. There was a 38 bullet in the driver door storage area. Unspent cartridge. The driver and passenger areas needed a simple cleaning. They were not clean. The brakes squealed At every stop. Van did what it was supposed to do. A little maintenance would go along way

The guy who set me up with the trailer I rented was great. Courteous, helpful, zero problems there. The trailer itself was a 6x12. It evidently hasn't seen maintenance in ages, as the rod to the brake master cylinder was rusted up and the brakes didn't appear to work - the truck was doing all the stopping. The location itself is horrible, owing to the fact that there is almost zero parking lot. When I returned the trailer before they opened, there wasn't enough room to back it into a parking spot. I ended up having to remove it from the truck, and push it where I needed it to go. It rolled back and forth OK, but getting it to turn was really hard. I'd recommend getting UHaul equipment somewhere else, because this location isn't really set up for it.

My experience was not good at all, When I made my reservations I ask could I pay by cash I was told yes, but I had to use a credit card to hold the truck,I get there and was told l need a $100 to hold until I return the truck which was not told to me the day I reserved the truck,after I returned the truck I was told gas was $8.50 and $22 for the mileage which I was told .99 cents a mile I didn't go over 15 miles I went from university dr to Jones valley and back,the guy told me I may not be able to pay with cash by this my bill is $53.52 my card had already been charged $31.72 the truck I had was $19.95 I will never use Uhaul again.

Clearly advertise that the one month free rental storage is a one time event. I was looking forward to saving money in August, I was told on multiple occasions that the truck rental would provide a free month, only to learn after renting the truck that it was a one time deal.

I made a reservation about 5 days in advance for another uhaul location. When I received my email/text confirmation and found out that it was for this location, I called to confirm. I arrived right at 7am on Saturday and was told by the employee (I do know his name as it is on my agreement, but I will withhold it) that he sees my reservation, but he didn't have a truck for me. After I told him that I had confirmed, his reply was that "it happens sometimes". I found this to be completely unacceptable. After asking him what could be done, he remained silent and flustered for several minutes working on the computer. He then told me that he does have a truck but it has to be returned. I asked him what that meant (as I was unsure of the context). His response was to point to a truck out the window and tell me that he had only been open for a few minutes. I couldn't believe how he was acting. My dad was with me through this scenario and we were both pretty unimpressed. The employee ended up checking in a truck from a previous rental. It was very dirty on the inside which had been disclosed, but we were able to get on with our move which was the goal but seriously started off on the wrong foot. Uhaul's overall rental process seems a little unorganized as I had originally rented from a closer, more convenient location and then got bumped to this location due to availability. I would not have minded this at all had our encounter with this employee been a little more pleasant. I worked in customer service for years, so I get that it can be stressful, and that 7am is early, but our pickup experience was absolutely the worst. I will say that the lady that handled our return in the afternoon was very nice and made returning it very easy. Wish she had been there in the morning. It's not likely that I will be recommending this location. I did decide to write this though because managers do need to know how their employees treat their customers. Hopefully management will see this.

This location has no easy way to access it. Also the little boy that was working there was rude and acted like his job gave him some form authority. I'll drive 10 miles out of the way to go somewhere different next if I even use uhaul again. I'll probably go with Penske honestly.

The young lady at the return facility was so rude and was not going to let me return the car transport and we also went to three different facilities that would not take the return. This was in Huntsville, Alabama
