I arrived between 8:30 and 9 AM. Nobody there. I called. They answered. Gave me the code to access the yard. Told me where to leave the tow dolly. Stated they would check it in when they opened at 9AM. Felt as if I had no choice except to drop it off. Was nervous about leaving it unattended. I suppose it worked out but I felt very uncomfortable.

I had to call U-Haul Customer Service, who had to walk me through downloading the app and checking out using the app. He admitted that wasn’t supposed to be the case for my contract, but no one was present at the store. It added an hour to my check-out experience.
Ethan JAfter reading through several low reviews, truthfully I was worried about the whole experience as a first timer renting a U-Haul. Whether I was able to pick up my rental truck during closed office hours, my reservation being canceled for whatever reason, or being mischarged after returning the truck. I did consider going with other truck rental services. After the fact, I'm glad I stuck with it because we had no issues, and it was not a bad experience at all! To start, I reserved the 20' truck for a Sunday 8:30am pickup. I originally paced the reservation at a different location the week before. A few days before moving day, I got an email and text that my reservation had changed to a different location. Thankfully, this location was still pretty close to me. The morning of, I pulled into the lot and went through the check in process in the app. This all went smoothly, and we did not require external help. We got the gate and lockbox code and found our truck easily. Truck was clean and had 1/4 gas in the tank. We were in and out in less than 15 minutes. Before we returned the truck, we filled it with gas to the same spot it had at the beginning of the day. The drop off process was easy as well. Confirmed that the truck was clean and took pictures of the dashboard. We returned the keys to the lockbox, and that was it! My receipt total is the same that was charged to my card. Whole process was seamless, and I'm impressed with the UHaul app which allowed me not to have to speak with a person. I'm very happy with my overall experience and recommend this UHaul rental location for others.
