Comment U-Haul Fonctionnement des avisI rented the truck at 6 p.m. for a local move, intending to return it at the same time the next day, but I actually returned it at noon—about six hours early. I returned it with the same amount of gas it had when I got it (which was very little), yet they charged me extra, claiming issues with the fuel level—even though I had photos showing the amount when I picked it up—and alleging that I returned the vehicle late. I do not recommend them; they rip you off.
Daima PWe had a reservation for a remote pick up at 7am on moving day and confirmed with the pick up location the day before. Upon getting there, we were unable to complete our pick up and had to call UHaul customer service. The rep told us that the last person to use the truck did not dispatch it correctly so we were unable to pick it up. We were on a tight schedule and this was a huge inconvenience. The new pick up location was an 8 minute ride from where we were an further away than we wanted. The employees at the new pick up location were very nice to us so they get 5 stars. UHaul on the other hand, gets 1. This is a terrible way to handle remote pick ups. We had to suffer and be delayed by almost an hour because someone didn't do their job. We had to call multiple times because the app was not working properly and would not let us pick up the truck at the new location. That is unacceptable and there needs to be a better system in place for when things like that happen. The customer shouldn't be inconvenienced. We cannot be reimbursed for our time. This added more stress to an already stressful day.
