Great service over the phone at the Lake Wylie, SC location. . Had to change my reservation twice they did it with ease. Truck was very clean and all the equipment I requested was there when I was ready to self check in. App was giving us an issue but the website worked. Thank you!Raul P.
Horrible experience, front receptionist (Lydia) had the worse attitude. Arguing with customers and employees, extremely rude. I saw her go off on two customers in front of me and then argue in front of everyone with another employee who was actually trying to help. Spent about an hour there just to rent a trailer, she did a horrible job at explaining anything to me and was told by the other employee renting for 24 hrs would be same price as the 5 hour option Lydia pushed on me by making me believe that was my only option. Went back to the front to ask her about it and she rudely told me I should've asked more questions but when I did she had such a bad attitude. Worse experience ever, horrible look for Uhaul as a company.Yesenia H.

They tried to move my reservation to a location further away (just minutes after my reservation time had already started) because they were closing and they were too lazy to clean my vehicle ahead of time. I had selected mobile pick-up, so it shouldn't have mattered that they were closing anyway, and it's NOT my problem that they didn't want to clean the vehicle. I complained and pressured them into preparing the vehicle for me. I was NOT going to pay for the extra mileage and inconvenience of going to a different location WHEN I WAS ALREADY ON MY WAY. Oh, and then I found a used COVID mask in the back. Terrible service.Victoria M.

The people were kind enough to start and it was fine picking up the truck. Driving the truck was a challenge, it's badly in need of service. It felt very unsafe on any interstate, the transmission felt like it was about to give out at any minute. The worst part was returning the truck and trying to settle my bill. The store couldn't seem to figure out how to charge my card with the additional charges (gas, extra mileage etc). They told me my card was declined by my bank. I called my bank, it wasn't declined, there wasn't a charge for them to decline. I called back to Uhaul and they couldn't figure it out. Even asked me if I could just pay with another card. I said no, my card is good, can't you just charge the hold amount and then make a second charge for the remainder? That was Saturday. Come Monday, the manager of the store was calling me again to tell me they still couldn't get the charge to go through. She interrupted me throughout the entire conversation and treated me like I was a complete idiot who had never rented anything before. I understand how holds work, again, not my issue that they couldn't figure out their system to charge the card. I went through Twitter customer service (which is great btw) and finally told them that I was done, they were welcome to work with the local uhaul to get it figured out because I no longer wished to speak to the local uhaul manager. I thought it was done. Thursday morning I saw a charge for the hold amount go through on my credit card. Then later in the day I received an email from a credit collection address from Uhaul asking me to pay a much higher amount on top of what was already charged to me. They had added a late fee into the amount that was being charged extra (for mileage, gas etc.) I once again got on the phone to call Uhaul corporate. Mind you, I work full time and just completed a major move to a new city. At this point I'm writing this I have spent a solid 8 hours on the phone between my bank and Uhaul trying to figure this out. I went online to pay the $85 and the damn online payment portal didn't work so here I am, again, on the damn phone with Uhaul trying to pay an $85 bill to a billion dollar company because the people at their local shop can't figure out how to collect payments. it's infuriating.Jennifer B.
