I picked up the uhaul and ordered an appliance dolly come to find out it wasnt there so I messaged about it now I come to see I was fuckng charged for the dolly being missing. I'm lividCorey Y.

This was my worst experience with U haul I have ever had. The door was broken but was not aware of that until we reached our pick up destination. I called c mart and they were no help at all in resolving this problem. I called the customer service number on the truck as well as the roadside assistance number but no answer from either. I spent an extra 2 hours picking up furniture and had to pay my help for those extra 2 hours because of this issue with the door.SHERRY E.

There was a huge confusion with uhaul and not the particular locations. I got a quote and when it went through it changed my 6 hour request to 2. So I cancelled that reservation and got another one. Somehow the system confirmed the wrong reservation and the one that should have been canceled. So I went to the wrong location and it caused moving to be delayed. Otherwise a good experience.CAIO G.

There is a lot of traffic in and out at this location. We couldn't get the truck out due to customer parking. Checking back in was easier.Glenn S.
Have the vehicle ready at the agreed upon time. I reserved over the phone for a specific time and it was not ready. I had to wait on the gas station owner to arrive. The UHAUL rep. told I could pick the return location, however, that was not the case. I received a text specifying I had to return to one location.Matthew B.
The equipment was in poor condition and led to damage of everything that was in moms attic due to roof leak that they had apparently tried to repair with siliconebrian A.
Online pick up was nearly impossible. Then...when I finally get someone to help...I'm charged way more than quoted online plus I'm harrassed to buy the additional insurance. It was A VERY difficult pick up. I arrived at the Bush River location (in Columbia, SC) and the truck I reserved 3+ months prior was not there. During the process of the evening, I drove to 2 other U-Haul locations in an attempt to find a replacement truck but received minimal, to no help from the locations' staff members. In a desperate attempt to figure out what happened, I requested to get in contact with the area's district manager. Through the next 2.5 hours, I attempted to remain calm through the stress and worry that I was going to be financially penalized (by my place of residence) for having not moved out of the apartment by the next morning; all because the rental truck (THAT I HAD RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION EMAIL FOR 100% GUARANTEE PICKUP) was no where to be found. Surprisingly, Cavin Maadox, the manager I spoke to, went above and beyond to provide the service I had been promised but failed to receive upon arrival. Even the moments I was frustrated with him, he was calm and collected -- poised with professionalism -- attempting to construct a solution for a problem (that was frankly) not either of OUR faults. I cannot express enough the appreciation of the after-hour service that Mr. Maadox provided into finding me the replacement truck I needed THAT NIGHT. Despite having to drive to another town, he found me the equipment I needed with a long list of calls. Looking back, there were multiple mistakes which could have been prevented: (1) I shouldn't have gotten an email the day before pick up that my truck was "reserved and guaranteed" at the pickup location when it wasn't physically there, (2) the other store staff shouldn't have forced me, a customer who had proactively reserved a truck for pick up, out of the store despite the fact it was closing time, (3) not another single truck of the necessary size was available for me to replace the 'lost truck', and many more. THIS BEING SAID, I extremely appreciate the superb service that was extended to me by Mr. Cavin Maadox in his efforts to correct a wrong, that did not belong to him. In the chaos of the moment, he was in the exact position to piece together a solution. I do not know if I will ever be back in the Columbia, SC area to personally thank him, but I do believe that Cavin Maadox should be acknowledged for exceeding the company's expectation of customer service in order to solve a problem which should not have occurred. Also there was nothing wrong with the final pickup location (1035 Old Orangeburg Rd), my service there was efficient and the location was extremely clean. I hold the original pickup location with the utmost disgust and frustration, from cleanliness and customer service, to communication and helpfulness. I hope that this review is flagged and I hope that motions will be taken to ensure this never happens to another customer in the future.Nestor W.
