I did the online drop off after business hours. However, I was not able to complete it online. I couldn't upload the picture it required (milages). I tried for over 20 minutes because I didn't want to be charged extra, I ended up leaving without the finishing it my "return my vehicle" online. it would've been a better experience if it wasnt for this.

The woman who checked me in was nice, but she failed to let me know the truck had to be back by 9am on the drop off day. 9am! I incurred a $60 charge- as if the cost of the truck and gas wasn't enough. And then, when the service guy got me the truck- he didn't walk through damage, he didn't check to see if I had questions. He just handed me the keys, had me turn it on and check the odometer, then walked away. Meanwhile it took me 10 minutes to figure out how to adjust the mirrors. I had no idea how to adjust the seat. Another 5 to figure how to operate the radio and change from AM to FM

This should be filed as a corporate complaint. I had a reservation for this morning at 9:30am for a 9 foot cargo van. That is what I needed and reserved for True Hardware, Everett MA. I hired movers and showed up there at 9:15am to pick up the cargo van. I was told that he can't help me because he did not have the can I reserved and that I should go to the Malden MA U-Haul location 25 minutes away because they should have the van there. I showed up at the Malden location and was told that the cargo van I reserved, would not be available until 12:30pm. I was dismayed at the lack of reliability. No one from Uhaul called or emailed me to communicate the delay because then I would have been able to let my movers know to wait 3 hours. This is not cheap movers cost a lot of money. I was told that I can have a 10 foot truck, instead of the cargo van, because that is what they have available to accommodate the Uhaul mistake and inconvenience. I said fine thank you. Used the truck and brought it back. When I returned the truck is where my terrible customer experience, turned much worse. I was charged $1.89 per mile for the truck, which is not what I reserved. I was told that I can use the truck as a gesture to accommodate a customer that was inconvenienced. The store manager was awfully rude and was in no mood to have patience and work with me to figure this out instead choosing to yell at me and make me feel terrible in front of other customers saying there is a long line of people waiting to rent trucks and that is my contract I signed and that is what I have to pay and that she will not match the $1.08 per mile as the cargo van. This to me is manipulation and price gouging. Taking advantage of a customer due to Uhaul's scheduling error and subsequent lack of customer service. I rate my experience 1 out of 10. No empathy and in my view that lady manager needs to go through a retraining class and remember that the customers do not complain unless they feel like Uhaul has done something to inconvenience them. I also called corporate customer complaints to file this grievance. What a terrible experience, I will not rent with Uhaul instead will chose your competition. Uhaul clearly does not care how they do business and only cares about cheating and price gouging customers. And your so called store managers have no idea how to work through issues with customers to solve issues. The worst. Horrible customer experience. I would like to receive a call back from an area supervisor to speak further and look to resolve my complaint. Thank you.

The issue was not with the store were I took the truck but with the store on Easter Ave Malden ( 420 Eastern Ave Malden) i called the store in advance to ask if they had a van available for the day and the person said yes. I took Uber and run there. I spook to Andrew the manager who was very unprofessional he asked me for how long I needed the van and I said for the day and he said that if I returned it after 4pm i was going to be a $50 chatge! So I stated that I’ve been renting from U-Haul for many years and never heard that plus when I called they did not tell me that. He did not like the fact that I questioned the penalty and started by saying that was the policy and blaming me for talking over him! He refused to help me and asked me to leave and said that he was going to call the stores in the area so they don’t help me!!! He was very rud. I had to leave the store under the rain take another UBER and go to the other location on Broadway Plaza. They helped me and the employee was very professional and courteous! And there was no $50 dollar extra charge dor returning the van after 4! This whole situation costed me two UBER rides, leaving my kids and myself on the rain and pay the guy that was helping extra $50 because we were behind schedule!!!

I rented a truck 17 ', The car was old with 150k miles and wet all my furniture. Full of leaks. I do not recommend!

I can't even begin to describe how much I love this location! First of all, the staff is an awesome bunch of people! Bonnie is a spectacular manager and was extremely helpful when I didn't know what to do about my move. Monica and Willy were awesome at helping me fix the wiring on my truck when I was having issues connecting to the trailer I rented. Tony did an amazing job with hooking up the trailer when I first rented and I had absolutely no issues with it! When I came in again to buy boxes, Gerald knew exactly what I was looking for and got me exactly what I needed and the lovely woman Denise that checked me out was super sweet! Overall, everyone was very helpful and kind. I would 100% recommend them to anyone!

The passenger side mirror was extremely loose. I was driving alone and had to stop several times to fix it. I would put it in a certain position and it would come out of place.

I had a reservation set for a oneway 15' truck rental earlier over the phone from Malden to Hyde Park , MA and I drove all the way to the MALDEN location just for them to tell me my rental wasn't available . This was the first issue I was upset about because MALDEN is a hour away from me . I had no choice but to bring the rental back a extra 20 miles over a $1 per mile ! Which already inconvienced me and all they could offer me was a more bigger and expensive truck or a local rental which caused me to drive all they way back from Hyde Park area to Malden at 2am which cost me more than expected ! When I got to the location to drop off I swept every thing out my truck and tried to use the cleaning supplies they had to clean the dust out of the truck and ground but they had everything shut off ! So how was I so pose to clean the truck out with nun working cleaning equiptment before 8am and they open at 7am ! I rented with U Haul a lot and NO location charged me every for cleaning ! They all had working cleaning stations I used to be able to clean my truck rental ! Don't go to this location they are money greedy and cant handle the volume they receive to get customers reservations correct and "save them money" also I put over the returning gas limit and I got charged $12 ! Just a overall terrible experience stay away form the broadway Malden . MA location ! Its a better location just up the road in Malden on eastern street ! Now I'm stuck with a extra $70 charge on my card !
