Comment U-Haul Fonctionnement des avisI had originally booked with the Albany location on Broadway but they called Thursday and said they didn’t have the size we needed and could adjust the location to be just .5 mile down the road, we have always had succcess at the Albany location but reluctantly agreed to try somewhere new since it was so close. NEVER AGAIN. We arrived to a rundown store that appears to be a deli with a paper U-Haul sign attached to it. We tried to use the app to check in and it did not work. The woman at the front desk was unable to help us, as the internet in the deli/U-Haul was down. She left the desk for minutes and we thought she was resetting the router but she was actually checking her makeup in the bathroom. She rudely asked me to use the app, but the reason I had went inside is because the app was not working. She gave me the phone number for roadside assistance who were obviously unable to assist in me getting set up in the U-Haul at the shop. My fiance and I drove around until we got wifi for the app to work and could check in. She then met us outside and we got into our U-Haul that was infested with hornets. By this point we were already 90 mins behind on move day. The woman was completely unhelpful and unkind on a very stressful day and put us completely behind schedule. I will never recommend this store to anyone. I will never use U-Haul again.
Regan BUnfortunately, i feel as if I was "bait and switched". When I called to make this reservation, I told the employee that I needed a rental for 45 days. They suggested I rent a trailer which comes with 14 days. Then told me it would be an additional $20 a day for the remaining 31 days. After the rental was completed, I was charged 20$ a day for the rental and an extra 11$ each day day on top. I was charged 50% more then what I was told when making the reservation. When I called to rectify this situation, I was told there is nothing that can be done. Feeling like you have been robbed from Uhaul is a terrible feeling. I can and will not recommend U haul to anyone, if this is how they treat their customer's.
