One-way drop off was declined at location we had selected at online reservation because it was full. We were sent to The Storage Center which turned out to be closed for the rest of weekend. The signage for entrance to UHaul drop off area there was nonexistent. Spent 20 minutes at the gated STORAGE entrance trying to figure out how to get in. UHaul support center didn't know. Finally saw another UHaul parked in the distance. Turns out we had to drive further down the main road to a gravel road. NO SIGNS ANYWHERE letting us know it was UHaul drop off. Very stressful experience for arriving from a distant town and not being familiar with new location.Damian M.

I was charged a 20.00 convience fee for returning, when this location was closed no one ever shared that I needed to down load the app to return the vehicle with out the fee. I did in fact sign the docuement. The frequency of my rentals from uhual i have never had to pay this fee in the past.Dominick S.

The pickup was great. The return was not. The lady said she billed me extra. I explained I called the 800 # to say I could not get thru online process. She indicated she got the note not to bill me for her checking me in. I questioned was extra because I took pictures of the truck, inside and outside. Mileage and gas gauge. She said she had to clean the truck not sure. I explained to the gentleman on the 800# I took pics. She said she only charged me $15 instead of $25. NO,NO, NO! Plus the bill was 98.03 plus 06% tax is $5.89 totaling $103.92. That's why she didn't tell me the total, which is $103.92. NOT $120.88. That's a mark up of $16.96. Multiply by the number of trucks you lease !Katrina P.
Did express service-filled out everything online. Arrived 9 am at appointment time on pick-up day. Open sign on door but door closed. Waited over 10 minutes for someone to open door. Took over 30 minutes at the desk for this lady to take pictures of DL for 2 drivers. Mixed up order of DL and had to go in and change order. Did not appear knowledgeable about process. Told me not to be impatient as it was Uhaul internet slowness not her! I was impatient because I had movers scheduled to arrive while I was standing at a desk waiting for God knows what! I did express service!!!!! I then received the paperwork to get a key that was at a different location than where I was! Absolute incompetence and rude desk service and I will never use a Uhaul again. This particular location has real problems.William K.

I tried to use the self check in on my app. It did NOT allow me to get past taking a photo of myself. It was necessary for me to wait an additional 30 minutes in the cold until someone arrived. As with my previous experience their was a problem with the odometer reading! Fortunately, Kelly read the odometer and caught the error so I was not charged for miles I did not drive as I was before. The gas measurement was also off. All of this was based on computer readings. I nearly broke my neck on the black ice which was on the parking lot on the side of the truck. While slipping and sliding, Kelly told me to "be careful." It should be the U-Haul dealers responsibility to make sure the truck is parked in a safe area. The app and the computer both need serious adjustments. I was told this is a common complaint and many customers are not as understanding as myself. I did not appreciate being charged charged for gas I did not use or miles I did not drive at other U-Haul facilities. Ensuring parking lots are free from ice around rental trucks should be a priority.Donna M.
The drop off experience was absolutely horrible. I could not get an address to drop off the truck. When I finally spoke to a lady, she stated that she was not part of the traffic team and could not give me a specific address in Salisbury MD. She suggested that I drive to each location and at some point, one of them would take the truck. After ending that conversation, I was able to get a more reasonable person on the phone. She gave me an address for the return. I went there and was REFUSED the opportunity to leave the truck there. People were beyond rude and not remotely helpful. (address was 1326 N Salisbury Road, Salisbury MD 21801). I was given another address to return the truck to and that place was closed. I left the truck at the gate and put the key in the lock box. Very poor service and very poor people on the return side. Not sure I would ever rent from UHaul again. I did file a customer objection but have not heard anything as of yet. I could not find out where I was to pick up the truck,I was supposed to get a call the day before giving me this location but it never came, I went to a location in Berlin, Md and spoke to someone on the phone. My original was Pocomoke City, Md. This was too far away so they changed it to Salisbury, Md.george C.

There was confusion as to wether or not the truck as reserved online could be leased for a one way trip. The first office denied leasing even though on line reservation sent me to that location. I was then sent to another location where I was told their vehicles were not to be leased for a one way trip as well. This gentleman who was very helpful had me call the booking agent. I was then told I would receive a call or text within the hour. I told them I prefered a call. Ten minutes later, I received a text. Ok, glad for prompt response, but why ask which form of contact I prefer if they were doing what they prefered. Anyway, sent back to original location where I was first denied the lease due to one way trip. The agent on site told me once again, they could not lease the truck as it was for local use only. She explained she was doing what she had been told. Again, not her fault at all, and she was very helpful. Finally got approval to lease me the truck, after an hour plus of my time driving all over town to three different locations. Still, truck was in good working order, and all agents were helpful and pleasant. Just need to coordinate between stores, call center, and on line reservations. Overall very good. No one in your company has completed the promises they made. 1. The truck was not at the location from which I reserved it. 2. The personnel at that location tried to send me to an incorrect address. 3. The attendant at the new location had trouble filling out forms. 3. That same attendant did indicate that she would not be there after 2:00 but I was left with the impression that there would be someone there until 7:00. 4. The attendant instructed me that I could return the truck to the other location at which I first reserved the truck. 5. The first location could not accept the "local" truck and after calls to his manager gave me instructions to return to the pick up location. 6. Upon arrival at 3:00 the store was closed and I had not been given any instructions for after hours return. 7. A storage customer came by an told me that they want it parked at a side gate which is down a ravel drive was off a gravel alley. 8. There was a very unsecure drop box and threatening posters telling me that I would be responsible for any damage to this truck I was leaving out-side any locked gate. 9. I had called the 800 # to get drop-off info and to voice my concern and was told I would not be responsible for any damage and a $50 credit would be applied to my account. 10. I had to make another trip to the drop-off location to clear the paperwork. 11. The final bill was prepared but did not include the $50 credit. 12. Even after going over the troubles I had had the two attendants were unhelpful and rude. 13. The main Mgr. said that she would return my whole fee "if I would just go away". 14. She had to get on the phone and get the $50 info from someone called Sameir (?)who I believe was the gentleman I spoke with on the rental day. 15. he confirmed the $50 but they would not give me anything to indicate that promise until I suggested a had written note. 16. The $50 credit was to show up on my credit card with an e-mail notification in 5 days. 17. Lisa was very helpful and competant. The only problem I had was locating the trailer I needed at the location I wanted to use. I reserved the trailer then had to pick it up at a location 1 hour away. It would have been a better experience if a representative of your company went and picked it up and had it at the location I needed to pick it up. Otherwise everything was satisfactory.
