I’ve dealt with this location for years. When I first started going there it was a bit sketchy. Since the latest manager took it over its amazing. The staff are super helpful. Clearly the manager knows how to lead and empower her staff. Can’t recommend highly enough. And love all the security they have put in place. There is also a young woman who works there, sorry terrible with names. I’ve delt with her several times and she, like the manager, rock. Thank you.

You need to assist the renter on how to put the straps on the wheels and how to secure those wheels to the auto transport. There was no help in neither. I will never recommend this U Haul dealer.

They did not disclose to me when they substituted a 15'truck for the 10'truck I originally wanted that I would incur additional commercial truck charges that I was talking from Sidney, BC to Chilliwack, BC. The attendant at the ferry terminal said all truck rental companies have been advised to be sure to inform their clients of the increased charges on larger trucks. I was charged an additional $60 from what I would have paid for the 10'truck in ferry fees. I believe U-Haul should reimburse those fees to me.

The lock was very difficult to open. We were surprised to find out we had to purchase straps to secure our items.

i needed to cut the cord on the dolly i didnt need in the truck and had i had to pay for it i would have been upset. I needed the space not the dolly. other than that it was perfect.

This is my experience in Sidney u-haul location. It was Friday noon and I went in to rent a utility trailer. I saw 2 on the lot. On the reception was a lady and she told me that the 2 utility trailers are not available and will be picked up later in the afternoon. I said maybe I'll just try to rent in Victoria. Since I live around Sidney area, I want to call first the location in Victoria where I intended to rent but I was re-directed to an operator. He asked my address and mentioned there's 2 utility trailers in Sidney available! I said sure I'll book and gave me a confirmation number. I came to pick up the trailer at 4:30pm (30 mins before they close at 5pm) and I still saw 2 trailers on the lot. The lady recognized my face and defensively told me that since I popped up she had to cancel the person who is supposed to rent the trailer! And her tone was not friendly at all. She made me feel guilty but confused at the same time. Can the reception just cancel a rental just cos someone rented with a confirmation number? My lesson was I think it is better to call the operator first or book online and have a confirmation number ready to save lots of time!!
