Arrived during regular business hours (10:30am on a Tuesday), and there was no one there, nor any sign about when they would be open. I called U-Haul, and they told me to choose a different location, and then walk a mile (!) back. I just dropped the keys there and parked in any open spot, and told U-Haul what I did. They were okay with it in the end, but overall, the experience was awful.

Comment U-Haul Fonctionnement des avisReceived a call morning of the rental wanting to finish the check in process while I was driving to the location. The representative stated that she would not be there to do the check in when we arrived, and that the keys would be in the back compartment of the truck. However when we arrived there was a woman waiting in the lot in an suv that walked over and retrieved the keys from the back of the truck and handed them to me. I still needed to do the inspection before leaving the property. It seemed to me that the employee had somewhere else to be and not at the rental location. And the employee said that we could not get a hard copy of my rental agreement that it was only available by email.
Dan PInstructions on the form directed me to call a local number upon arrival at what appears to be an abandoned bank. No one answered, but a return call told me there was no need to call. Perhaps franchise and UHaul can decide whether a call is necessary and adjust the instructions accordingly. No complaints with the local franchise, just an element of uncertainty as to what to with the truck.

James HTruck was covered with dust and dirt. Windshield was not clean. Would have been helpful if AGENT went over return procedure for weekends (store is closed). To many signs and not a simple process for people that don't want to put additional apps on their phones. Way to dependent on smart phones for transactions.
