If I have called in advance and paid for a 10 foot truck, and two Dollies they should be available when I arrive. They said they had no 10foot truck so they gave me a 15 foot instead. That would have been fine but I only had a couple of pieces that’s why I specifically asked for and paid for a 10 foot. Then I was told their was no dollies? I stood for 30 minutes, demanding dollies since I can’t move the items without them. Finally a “manager” who had little knowledge appeared after about 20 minutes. He spoke down to me and was condescending. He was then provided with 2 dollies for sale in the store by a third employee and was told we could use those. This took over 30 minutes to resolve and 3 or 4 employees. The manager told me, “well it’s resolved and you’ve got your dollies, so what’s the problem.” Only a woman would have been spoken to this way and he definitely would not have made such an ignorant comment to my husband. I will definitely NOT be back and would not recommend anyone to use U-Haul again. The customers behind us in line were also concerned with incorrect information they were given. These employees desperately need customer service training as well as knowledge of what their selling.

Never checked in my truck return, although they told me to leave and they would take care of it, called a day later asking where the truck was—on their lot, sent another bill for additional day after they found it on their lot.

Letting customer know that you will be charging card twice for same charge but one will be credited back. I do not understand why it is charged twice the first one should be all that needs to be done

I made my reservation at the South Campbell location. When I went there a vehicle was not available so I was referred to the Glenstone location. The transaction went well, but it was quite an inconvenience, and also more expensive since it added miles I would not otherwise have driven.

We were dropping off a one way rental so we had never been to this location before. I misunderstood the 24 hour drop off thinking that a person would be there to assist us. However, outside of the store hours the 24 hour means you use the app to process your drop off and leave the key in the box. I couldn't get the app to work on my phone but thankfully my husband was able to get it to work and ultimately the process was successful. The drop off area was full and it was hard to find a place to park my own car I almost got stuck in the lot when more people arrived to drop off or get into the storage units which were accessed from the same lot. Thankfully they kindly backed out to allow me to exit but the lesson is to park your car in the lot across the street to avoid this situation. Overall the process with the app was efficient if you follow the instructions. It was just unexpected so it took us extra time to figure it out.

The infastructure lacks organization. No place to park vehicles used to transport customers for pick-up and returning trucks. Staff seemed to be overwhelmed and out of control.

I initially tried to reserve through the website but a popup window wouldn't take my input. I then called the 800 number and that was a disaster. Looked online and saw that the location I wanted to pick up at (N Glenstone, Springfield, MO) had the truck/date I wanted but was assigned to pick up at a small locationI did not want to use and told the agent my preference. She insisted Glenstone had no tricks and assigned me to West Division. When I protested she said she just found Glenstone had trucks and would assign me there. When the email came though it said West Division so I called 800 number again and got a different agent. This one called your traffic dept to be sure a truck would be available and assured me I could pick it up at Glenstone. I never got a confirmation email about the change but when I went to the Glenstone location to buy moving supplies the clerk said the change has been made. I will trust the Glenstone crew every time but will not call the customer "service" people unless stranded by the side of the road.
