The businesses involved in our experience were great. There were actually two because of the confusion.(Conoco in Rainbow City AL and Pope's in Steele) The MASSIVE problems were caused by the UHaul company. The online reservation process is a nightmare. We needed a one way truck rental and they sent us to an in town only representative. Thankfully Conoco graciously called Uhaul and found a truck the next town over, we get there and not only is there not a 20 foot truck but no one is even there!!! Luckily we contact the number on the door, the rep who was on vacation took care of us right over the phone. She was so kind! However, It ended up costing us about $150 more than we were prepared to pay based on the reservation. We had to drive 50 extra miles for drop off because the business the online process gave us for drop off was permanently closed! Worst experience with UHaul. I will not use ever again.

DAVID PVery dark. No personnel present. Hoped I was parking vehicle in the correct location but wasn't really sure.
MONTANA FI would recommend this location in Steele, Alabama because of the incredible service we received from the distributor. However, I would not recommend U-Haul to a single soul due to their complete lack of just about everything and renting out things to customers and wanting card info for money but then not even having any of the “reserved” equipment ready come time for the customer to pick it up. U-Haul is just always an extra stress and hassle.
Joshua WI was only at this place because it was where my truck was towed to transfer my belongings to another truck. I picked keys up from a box and never met anyone there.
