I think it’s a good idea to keep 6x12 available since there is such a great need for them. We were told we should have put our name on the list 6 months in advance. We had to get rid of a lot of things because there were only 5x8 trailers. Not a good way to run a business especially when you’re the only game in town on renting trailers going down to the lower 48 .

Thank you uhaul. This is my third Uhaul rental of a 26' truck from Alaska to Florida in the past two years. I had a new Ford JH for this trip and it has plenty of power and ample storage room to accomodate large loads and ability to tow trailer loads. We blew a tire on the Ramp Trailer we were towing just outside of Whitecourt BC and the uhaul dispatcher had us up and running in less than 3 hours. Uhaul even secured a no cost motel room for us that evening and continued to check on us to make sure we were safe. My rental began at the Anchorage Old Seward store and service there was excellent and willingly gave me some extra days to load and complete the long trip and then worked with me to rent one of the new JH trucks. I picked it up at the Alaska R&R store and they were excellent to work with. I do have some additional input for future truck design which I would like to share.
