The office in Southern Oregon was unprofessional. It began when I ordered the box. First, staff indicated that the date I had chosen could not be accommodated because of shipment dates for that location. That information is nowhere online which made planning difficult. When the box arrived for loading, the driver indicated that she could not place the box where it had previously been placed upon moving to Southern Oregon. Even though I discussed the location with the manager and sent pictures of the location with no issues, the driver protested and we had to argue to have the box not placed in the middle of the road. Then, when the driver came to pick up the box, we received the text that she was on her way from the facility which was an hour and a half away twenty minutes after she picked up the box. The only reason we knew she had picked up the box was the fact that the box was missing and checking our cameras to determine time.

The staff at the Medford location need to have more communication and knowledge of their product and pricing. The outside of the truck was full of bugs and the windows were not even cleaned. The inside of the truck and the box was fine.

I have had consistent good overall experiences with U-Haul for both moving and storage. From receiving the boxes to having them shipped and stored across the country, then accessed whenever I needed to. Would highly recommend if you are good at packing up storage cubes.

We brought back the 4x8 trailer which we picked up in Gulfport MS. The trailer was easy to tow in rain and wind(60mph). We were in and out in less than 5 minutes! A great experience, thank you! This Medford location had also put our hitch on last year in preparation for this trip, it worked very well!

The location, available inventory is great I use U-Haul regularly. That being said this rental had annoying issues, the pickup was simple and speedy however I did get a trailer with one tire under inflated, found a nail, it happens. The big problem was the drop off on Friday morning I waited almost thirty minutes to be helped, keep in mind there where only two people in front of me. One dude was about as slow and bewildered as you can be and still be awake. He spent 25 of the thirty minutes helping 1 trailer rental no problems the customer and agent almost never spoke he just kept playing with his device. The second although faster seemed to think it was a social position. When I arrived I was third in line, when I left it was 6 or more deep. Bad day, bad staff day, good location and I will use again. You asked, Thanks

I did have multiple issues with our U-Haul. Overall a good experience. Our car tow trailer had a low tire pressure in the 20s when given to us and appeared low- we needed to fill before using it, we started on a 1/4 tank of gas which was annoying, I talked to customer service about not receiving our packing blankets and they said they would remove the charge- still charged for them and didn't receive them.

I was given a trailer with a bald tire on the edges. When I went back to find the attendant, he was watching TV and was irritated that I was disturbing him. He came out and took a picture of it, then went to talk to someone else. He came back and said that it would make it to my destination (250mi of interstate), so it was ok. When I questioned why I couldn't just switch it out for one of the dozen or so other trailers sitting there, he said that would take time to switch. I looked around, and there was only one other customer in a large business. Anyway, he did eventually switch out the traler, but was very rude and non-communicative during the process. The trailer performed fine, but the service was bad.

So happy to find Uboxes and that they would deliver to my home in a tiny Oregon town. All aspects of this move were smooth, logistics handled consistently and quickly, communications and updates throughout. Delivery and Drop-off CDL drivers were on time, competent and mostly women! Uhaul also has contracted movers and labor help specific to your area. I hope never to move again, but if I do, Uhaul will be my choice. THANK YOU!!

Despite having a 1-7/8ths inch ball on my vehicle, I was informed by both employees at this location that they absolutely could not attach a U-Haul trailer unless I have a ball that was 2inch. I asked the first employee if they had a ball they could install, but was told their tools were stolen, so they couldn't. I checked the U-Haul website that says my ball was fine, but the employee says I needed to check with his boss as he was trained to only do 2inch balls. I brought this information to the boss who said that the U-Haul website was incorrect and needed to be updated. He said "yeah, all the new U-Haul couplers are 2 inch only, so the website is wrong." I went to purchase a 2inch ball since I had no choice and the "boss" said he would give me a deal on the whole hitch and ball for only $23. I said no I'll just get the ball, so he asked if I had tools to install it. I said "no, do you have them?" And he replied that he had broken the key to their tools and couldn't access them. (So are they stolen or is the key broken?) I asked if I could just use the wrench that was on the shelf, thankfully he said yes, then he added a comment that if they install it then it's a whole liability thing. (Tools stolen, key broken, but also a liability?) This was an extremely bizarre experience that was clearly trying to drive sales and force customers to purchase a hitch from this location. When I got home with the trailer, I even confirmed it says 1 and 7/8ths inch OR 2inch ball ON THE COUPLER. Just dumbfounded by their behavior at this location.

The Autotransporter I was assigned had a faulty attachment for the left front tire. The device where the strap fed into for cranking the lever to tighten the strap around the tire was extremely loose. Such that I was able to slide it back and front, as well as the strap came off my tire, got stuck on the axle, and stuck within the device on the autotransporter. Thankfully my vehicle did not fall off while driving from Medford to Bend. The U-Haul truck was dirty in the inside of the haul, I had to sweep it out before using it. The outside of the U-Haul was damaged in multiple places with dents on the back rear fender, scrap marks on both sides of the top outsides of the truck's haul.

The only issue I had that bothered me was the need to buy a new ball and stinger because they didn't have access to a wrench to change out the ball I brought for the second one that I'd brought . I didn't know what size I'd need , so I'd brought 2 sizes. Otherwise it was great.

Not gonna lie here most UHaul locations make me want to scream. This one is totally different. These people were just awesome. It took me 2 HOURS last time to get a trailer at one of the other Medford locations. I was in and out in 10 minutes here. Amazing service from the team.

I'm a frequent flyer so I know the system. I rented a trailer last week and the total time from pulling into the parking lot, to leaving with a trailer was just over 7 minutes. I'm serious; I've done this several times. There were no other customers, and I did most of the reservation on the web site prior to arriving at U-Haul. You can do this, too! Do you homework, know what you need (and have a plan B) before you get there, and hope that the people ahead of you did the same thing. The folks behind the counter are professionals and I am proof that they can complete a trailer rental in less than 10 minutes.

If you do your homework AT HOME, before you get to the service counter, you can be in and out in less than 10 minutes at this location (and this is the best location in the Rogue Valley). I know this because I rent a trailer at least twice each month. All the information you need is on their web site. The professionals at the counter will smile and answer your questions, but the folks in line behind you will not be smiling if you ask a million questions. . Delays are inevitable and range from unprepared customers to computer glitches, but the guys and gals behind the counter know what they're doing and they can do it quickly. . I think it could be even quicker if UHaul changed it's policy of having one staff member serving each customer from the time they get to the counter until they drive out of the lot. When there are 4 people in line, and one person at the counter because the others are outside hooking up trailers they just rented, it makes it look like the the place is severely understaffed (especially when that one staff person also goes outside to hook up a trailer, leaving the counter empty). Why not rotate employees to shifts working the counter only, and then outside only? You just hand the customer their paperwork and say, "Give this to the person outside and they'll complete your rental". And then you say, "Next!" It seems like it would save time.

Ridiculous how long I had to wait for a representative to even come into the store. When I got there there was 10 people already waiting in line. When I finally got to the counter I was told my account was "Do Not Rent To" so I had to call the 1-800 number wait on hold for 20 minutes to be told it was a mistake and they would remove it.. then wait in line AGAIN. Over an hour for me to get my uhaul. An hour I had to pay movers for not moving anything!

The young employee at the counter barely knew how to use the computer. High-mileage van was a beat-up old junker. The person who I first tried to call answered the phone, then forgot he answered it, so I listened to him for about 5 minutes talking to another employee, including using foul language; I had to call back, since he never came to the phone. There is no key drop box for after hours where it should be, obvious on the left side of the building under the tarp. The employee took over a half hour struggling to check me in, even though I was first in the door at 7:00 on a Saturday, while another customer came in much later, and was quickly helped by the other employee and left well before I did. The employee helping me said that the computer says there are 3 auto trailers on the lot, but when I go in to each, it says there are none -- giving me a sudden jolt of worry that I couldn't get my job done at all -- only to learn that he didn't know how to use his own computer system. Then the other employee came in and said that there was a broken part on the auto trailer that I was being assigned that would have to be repaired before I could leave. He had to re-take photos of my driver's license, even though I had done that step the day before, online, as suggested, "to cut my time in half"! I walked in at 7:00. I left with the old, beat-up rental truck and trailer at 7:37. How sad you have such poor customer service. To be clear: They were not being slow in a passive-aggressive way in some scheme to get back at me being a hostile customer. Quite the opposite: I was pleasant and cheerful from the start, offering a bright, "Good morning!" to both of them as I came in, only to be greeted by 2 surly employees mumbling under their breath, as though they weren't taught common courtesy. Terrible service, terrible products, terrible price. I'll do everything I can to avoid your dealership in the future.

It was dirty. "Ghetto" comes to mind whenever I think of this place. There were homeless people basically living in their storage units and it made us feel very unsafe going in and out of the location. There's no elevator and having accessibility needs really made this location super challenging. The fact that there are rat traps in the unit when you open them is alarming. We would not recommend this location to anyone. Sorry, but it was a hot mess.

The units and a lack of understanding about using the two-door, two-code entry systems are getting the negative review, not David, the man who helped me move in. I would give David an excellent rating if I had a place to put that. David was proactive and thought outside the box to step in where his coworker left off for going home for the day. The coworker had indicated it was OK to move in before July 4 when I called in to get permission, but that coworker did not check the unit I was to move into that same day we talked over the phone. When I got there within an hour later, the coworker had left for the day and the unit still had a lock on it and was not ready to go. In addition, I realized the large number of stair steps up to that unit or one like it on that would not work for me because of a painful knee injury. I had not realized from the unit description online how extensive the stairs would be and that there was no elevator as an alternative backup use option. There was no way I could get all my stuff up those stairs. David stepped in, called the coworker to confirm that he had spoken to me and that it was OK to move in a couple of days earlier than the contract had said, and shifted me to a ground level unit near the entrance so moving my things into it was closer. The only problem with the unit was that the one I had ordered was a climate controlled 5x10 and the ground level one I was shifted to was a 5x5 and I am not sure it is climate controlled down there, the air felt warm. However, David indicated the 5x10 upstairs was still a 5x5 on the floor with a ten foot ceiling, so unless I could stack things that high, it was still a small 5x5 set of walls, with a 5 foot ceiling. I was not able to get all my things in the second unit, and had to take the excess items back to Klamath Falls to wait for another trip later. Overall, I am not happy with the storage unit as it kind of funky and strange, a small space that is not very usable for my particular needs, but I was very, very happy with how David stepped in and helped. He went the extra mile in yet other ways as well, adding small touches to an overally very thoughtful approach with me. He was very polite and considerate, and again, one of the best things about this fellow is he is thinking about what he is doing, able to ask questions of his more experienced managers, and to consider alternative ways of doing things, of solving problems, without his managers sitting on his shoulders. He was able to think, "Hey, maybe we can try this" and go for it on the spot. We need more thinkers and doers like this in our society. He is an asset to your team.

The manager of this location deserves a raise he went above and beyond. We asked to see the unit he took us to show it first wasn't big enough. The facility is packed with vehicles and equipment everywhere. The staff has to park thier cars back by the storage units and it makes it hatred to back out of there. The United were built so that one could drive around the building, but now there is equipment stored on one side right in the drive so that we can't leave without having to back up. The whole place is too small for the amount of equipment stored there. It's quite cramped.

The area and means of storage are good, but the hours to access were not convenient. M-S 7-7 S 9-5. Alarm was set after above hours so you couldn't enter.

For those who have storage upstairs it would be nice to have an easier way to move stuff up and down stairs. An elevator or something like a dolly to be able to move stuff upstairs would be helpful. The steepness of the stairs and the fact they are the same color as the floor makes it disorienting to try to walk down them with boxes in your hands and not worry you are going to miss a step and fall down them.

Staff were, without exception, always friendly and put effort into making transactions simple and quick. My storage room #7 was not optimal due to a concrete beam coming down from above about halfway into the room. I was disappointed to have to close my storage and would have stayed customer longer but my bill kept being increased regularly with no added benefit in kind, so became unaffordable.

I reserved a truck for 10-6-22, got confirmation on my phone. When I arrived they couldn't find the reservation. Made me start all over and made the whole process take forever. But us badly behind schedule and still had over 3 hr drive to get back. The online quote was much lower than what I was charged in person. I have done thousands of dollars in business with uhaul over the last 1 1/2 years and still have two units with you. Couldn't be anymore unhappy with uhaul right now.

The only complaint I have is about the truck rental .... I ended up having to use it for a few extra days , and I did not have my phone service working at the time , but I could use the Uhaul app through wifi , but for some reason my truck rental was not showing up on my account otherwise I would have extended the rental on there. Although it probably wouldn't have helped my balance at all ... ended up paying like 170 for 3 days plus mileage , which I have no idea how I traveled 67 miles in medford alone ? Lol anyways it's all good thank you guys again ... you guys are very good at rouge Valley uhaul

I rented another unit and it took the employee 4 tries to properly submit new entry for unit. She was cussing about the computer system not letting her and another unit. She finally after we waited almost an hour got the unit and we started loading our things in it. When it came time to lock it up the lock holes were not even so I couldn't put our lock on it. I explained this to lady and she said let me go try after waiting again she came back and said ok I'm gonna have to call maintenance to fix this. In the meantime she put a small lock of her own on our new unit and didn't give us a key. We returned on Sunday the next day and the doors were being painted and we were told we'd have to come back in a few hours. No access to our stuff. On Monday I returned to the small lock on our unit still on and not even locked just hanging there unlocked. Maintenance has still not fixed the lock. She still has her lock on our storeage unlocked so basically I paid nearly 100 to put our belt ngings in a unit we cannot lock we were not able to access it on Sunday when we needed to get clothes for my daughter for school. So I'd really love my money back. The employee should have offered us a unit that was capable of shutting and locking. Also if painting doors that should be done on hours that are closed to business. This is absurd and terrible business if you ask me.

The facility needs upkeep - no fault of staff! It seemed like they did not have adequate resources and were located in a crime area of Medford, oregon. And the cameras are not effective. That said, I was satisfied with with our experience. The staff was awesome, and nothing was stolen!

I am shocked that the storage facility does not have a freight elevator for the second floors. Fortunately, my load was light, but I am sure others are not as lucky. In addition, the time the storage buildings close is too early and not too practical for people who work during the day.

This was the most horrible experience. After driving 5+ hours and an email that said that the storage facility was open 5-10pm we were told that they don't allow people to load in after 5. We had literally no other place to put our stuff other than a small hotel room. We had a 5x5x5 unit and it's not like it would've taken us long to fill it. On top of that the facility was disgusting as well as the guys who were working. It was grossly irresponsible to use an excuse of we just haven't update our information on our email as justification for not allowing people but 10 minutes to load their unit. It was absurd, and we will NEVER use U-Haul storage EVER again.

Clean is the only thing going for this place. Almost all of the staff has been helpful and my card has never worked to access my unit. The managers were never there or available to help. And then the best part is I just got a notice they were raising the prices. This is the worst storage facility I've ever used and I've had really good experiences with uhaul in the past. Poorly managed storage facility, slow service, pay twice the price for half the space as anywhere else, very few total parking spaces in the lot for customers making storage here inconvenient and slow, be prepared to haul your goods across the property anytime you have to access your unit. It works in a pinch but get on the waitlist elsewhere while you suffer through the service here.

I purchased a lock from uhaul when I rented my storage they kept locking my unit telling me the lock they sold me was not acceptable. I complained about never being able to access my unit because of faulty key cards and locks on my unit and was met with attitude and poor customer service. They told me they wouldnt lose business ot having me because they are always full anyway terrible employees the only good employee there was having his 1st day at work that says alot. It wasn't necessarily the employees fault but honestly I would never go back to a facility where you had to wait for an hour every time to open your storage unit. Apparently the it guy was on leave and the company wouldn't let them hire someone else, so my code to access my storage unit never got programmed into the system. I wasted so many hours of my life trying to get into that stupid storage unit because there was never more than one person. at the front desk and most of them didn't understand why I couldn't just use my code and I got forgotten about so many times. I understand its covid but its the higher ups fault for not fixing this and it was a pain. Good day sirs.....

My two year experience with Rogue Valley UHaul was beyond great until the Almeda Fire fallout and the ensuing madness forced us to move out of the area. I found it taxing to deal with all I was dealing with, and then to have UHaul not quickly enough recognize I had extenuating circumstances and aid in ending my contract. It was too much with the no response and continued charging. I do appreciate though that everything has been resolved and thank all who did help to do so. I will recommend UHaul Rogue Valley to others.

The only thing I had an issue with was getting parking in front of storage units, as a disabled veteran I think parking across the parking lot to get a few things out was a hassle/difficult. You should have one or two spots there specific for loading and unloading storage units infront of units. But all your U-Haul are taking all the parking. OR look into ADA accommodating people with disabilities

Parking was impossible. The reservation had to be redone on 3 separate occasions. Twice in one day within a few hours. The first reservation could not be found. It took almost 40 minutes to check in, I was charged first months rent when it was supposed to be free. The associated could not reverse the charges. We were late for moving help coming at 2pm even though we showed up 45 minutes early. There was a dead mouse in one of the units.

all my stuff got ruined because the temperature was very hot! this facility temp never been consistent and i found it over 80 degree in several accation and told the staff but they never adjusted it.

our ubox was not accessible as was promised, had to wait for them to find it n bring it out. then we were limited on our time to unload as they would be closing soon.

Not once were we able to access our storage ourselves. We were told that it due to a 'computer glitch'. This meant we had to wait in line everytime we needed access and wait for someone to open it.

Return of rental equipment went smoothly. But I had booked a storage unit over the phone, and when I arrived the unit was neither the size that I booked nor as accessible as I was told to expect.

It was overall a nice experience. However the machine that gave access for the doors was broken and wouldn't take the access cards. As well as the Uhal stafe never game me a code or anything.

The phone system is not very customer friendly. Was instructed to call when returning to pick-up second U-Box and was routed to off-site message center. Gary Hill was very helpful,

need to keep the building door locked, so just the pass key is used. to keep out curiosity seekers and thieves and vandals.

The staff was very curt to me everytime I called includong in the store. Very few employees smiled- I undeestand it isn't a busy time of year but I felt as thought I paid too much money for that

In April of this year, we were given a free month of storage so we used that opportunity to store merchandise for 2 weeks. 5 phone calls and 5 hours later they are still billing us even when closed it

A very good experience with the U-Haul of Rogue Valley. The staff was very nice, and helpful. This was my second time using them as well.

Local office seemed disorganized and some interactions lacked courtesy.. Emails were uninformative. Website didn't reflect current information. Ubox didn't have any moving pads.
