The outdoor un-gated truck-bed unit I rented had an awkward step of over one foot between the ground and the floor of the unit that made loading and unloading difficult. Also the floor was not flat throughout due to square risers where wheels had been located; this also made loading and arranging my things difficult.

Let the employees know once I found out, which was a bit late, because after the 2 strong storms passed I went to get something from my storage unit and the top part was soak. I went to the office and told them. She assured me they would fix it. Never happened. My books which were stored on top with some dishes were damaged with mold boxes all wet. I had to replace them and move to a different area in storage unit. They didn’t seem to care about my situation. Not even to come and look at the unit or offer me new boxes. They asked if I had pictures instead of coming and looking at the situation.

jefre b | First ImpressionsWhen I rented a truck and trailer recently, the drop off location was unilaterally changed after the fact by U-Haul to one that was very inconvenient. When I spoke to the technician on the phone, he pled ignorance and said there’s nothing he can do. Changing the drop off location made moving very much more difficult and I do not appreciate uhaul doing this.
