The reservation process was not simple and did not show up in my app - had to make 3 phone calls and spend 20 extra minutes at the cointer moving day to get a unit

The office location is at 2949 North Ave but the storage location is 3113 1/2 Rd which is somewhat inconvenient. The location has the size that I needed and is clean. I haven't had a problem since I was there. The units are ground floor and not climate control. There's a clean bathroom on site that can be used. The staff in the office (2949 North Ave ) are pleasant. The female associate that comes in the morning and cleans/maintain (3113 1/2 Rd ) has unnecessarily given me attitude. She isn't pleasant and doesn't speak. One morning she looked & me & said " you can't hang out here, is that your unit?" I told her yes and I'm unloading. I don't know why she assumed I was loitering. The facility is gated, locked with security cameras.

deborah m | First ImpressionsThe staff is very rude. They put you down when you ask questions and are not helpful. I will NEVER use them again for storage. I will also make sure to let everyone I know about the service I have had to endure for the 5 years that I had my stuff stuck in the storage. I am so happy to be free of them. I will use the facility down the street where I received much pleasant service and took time to explain when you don't understand something.

danny s | Overall ExperienceWhen we setup the storage rental I was told that we would get one month free for renting a truck to move, we paid for 2 months and never received the free month? When we picked up the truck for a 2 day rental, the lady said that they were 2 separate systems and that she could not help me with any refunds. Also, I called UHaul the 2nd week of rental and informed them that the security lights in the whole isle we were renting in were not working and it was pitch black, I was told that this would be fixed within a week. Never happened, so I called again after paying for the second months rent and spoke to a gentleman who was just blowing it off, I mentioned that I had called before and the lights were still not fixed, he stated that the access hours were until 10pm and I mentioned that it is dark at 5:30-6pm, and that it was a safety issue. He said he would have the storage manager look into it. He felt no concern for the patrons safety and thought I was wasting his time.

THOMAS B | Overall ExperienceMy only negative comment is that the exit gate was always stuck open. I called U-Haul at least 4 times to report this. I picked this storage facility because it was close, convenient and secure with gates and only accessed with a key card however in the 2 months I was there it was not very secure with that open gate.
robin w | Overall ExperienceWe pulled our belongings out of storage unit as the gate has been out of order for at least a month. When you are paying for a secure locked facility I think it is unprofessional to not let your customers know that there is an issue. When I called a month ago I was told it had been that way for over a week and parts had been ordered. They were rude on the phone and hung up on me. I had to drive to the office to get more info. I am very disappointed as I had been renting for over a year. Prices went up and customer service went down.
