EVAN W | Overall ExperienceOverall it was nice, except when U-Haul bought it out and the rent went up. And then ended up making everyone move out.
Thomas B | Overall ExperienceThe local staff that manage the units are very good and helpful. The problem comes from corporate. Unfortunately they purchased an existing storage place. Increased rents promptly and then over saturated the place with multiple small units. Then gave those of us with a 14x50 size unit 5 weeks to vacate so they could subdivide it. The notice was way too short, no compensation for it, no options to relocate and did it in fall in Wisconsin. Notice was way too short. No options to move our items (14x50 was offered a 10x15). No room if you have an auto, boat, trailer, RV…that’s why we rented the larger units …for larger items. And the worst part, we were kicked out by Oct 31st…that’s when people are moving into units in Wisconsin. WIll never use U-Haul for anything again…rentals, storage, moving. They took a nice facility and ruined it. They’ve been purchasing multiple units throughout the area to own the market.
Troy N | Overall ExperienceWhen we originally signed up for the storage unit, it wasn’t owned by U-Haul. U-Haul bought the facility about a year ago. Some nice improvements were made, but then we were told our unit would no longer be available as they were splitting the larger units up to make smaller units. U-haul does not offer a unit of the size we need, so we had to go elsewhere. They didn’t cancel our rental as requested and we ended up having to pay an extra month even though we were already moved out.

It stated that there would just be a key left in the unit and that it would be open, but when this wasn’t the case I reached out via email to the property. They responded very quickly and let me know what I needed to do (download an app and log in) and I could get it very easily and quickly after that. They were great to work with. Thanks.
