I was sent to this location as the place I had booked “was out of the trucks” and this was the next closest place. 15 miles away, but ok. Whatever. The pickup was fine, mobile app pickup, no big deal, the truck was clean. The truck started runnin bad about 15 miles in. And then it was an absolute nightmare of customer service trying to get a replacement truck. It’s not my job to be inconvenienced 4.5 hours because of your procedural sequence. When a customer is making a one way move they shouldn’t have to wait 1.5hrs for a tow truck, another 40 minutes after he left for a “mechanic” to show up, a service provider sent the most unprofessional person I have ever encountered in the industry. The service provider left without saying anything. Then I was sent to a location to swap trucks that was closed and had no trucks anyways. And finally sent to the place I had originally booked a truck with to pick up a truck. That location is great, I rent from them all the time, they’re close to the house. They told me they had had the trucks (THREE OF THEM) all day, but the scheduler prefers pickups from the smaller locations and that’s why my pickup spot was changed. Good stuff!!! Finally, after first call to uhaul at 8:40am looking for a replacement truck, I was in a new truck about 1:45pm and 5 hours behind schedule on an interstate move. Horrible customer service in dealing with getting a replacement truck. Not this locations fault, not the pickup locations fault, UHAUL’S policy fault
