This location needs a PAVED lot for its customers and enough space to allow a customer's car to park in it. By having a gravel lot, the very INSTANT one gets into the U-Haul truck, there are dusty footprints on the entry of the door(s). Though it was not a very big deal to park across the street in a business lot near shopping places, had the weather been wet, cold, or rainy, it would have been VERY inconvenient. I miss the personal customer service of bygone days. I have rented MANY U-Haul vehicles in my lifetime (I'm in my 60s), and it used to be that a U-Haul staff member would do the walk-around WITH a customer. Also, the added customer service would have been helpful when it came to the dashboard notices and some simple comment about pressing a button to turn off a haul/tow feature when the truck was empty. I needed to discover that latter one on my own and couldn't really take the time to read the sign when I was on Highway 465 in Indianapolis. That personal customer service component would have been nice.
MARCIA OThe actual location is an old and dirty auto shop. But the lady working the U-Haul side was nice and helpful. The cab was kind of dirty and crude all over the dashboard. Definitely could've used a wipe down. Also, the fuel level mentioned at pick up was incorrect and I had to go back in and have corrected. So, at pick up I only had a 1/4 of a tank of gas. I had to travel several miles on this rental, so I got some gas right away. But, at return I was more than a 1/4 of a tank over than it should've been. Very frustrated and expensive for me.
