I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent U-Haul rental experience. What should have been a straightforward moving process became unnecessarily stressful due to multiple changes in my reservation as well as functionality of the trucks. My partner and I both reserved 1 truck in each of our names. First, both pickup location were changed, despite making my reservation with a specific location in mind. This change created additional inconvenience and disrupted the plans I had made around the original pickup location as well as the help and support of family and friends during this process. Second, the pickup time was also delayed as we needed to pick up for 2 different locations. Additionally, both vehicles we received had very little to no gas in the tank upon pickup, also creating delays. Having to immediately deal with fueling the vehicle added another inconvenience to an already frustrating experience. Lastly, mirrors on both vehicles were essentially unadjustable making it very difficult to change lanes, reverse and park. Taken together, these issues made the rental experience far below the level of service I expected from U-Haul. I understand that unexpected circumstances can occur, but multiple problems with the same reservation placed an unnecessary burden on us during an already stressful moving process. I am requesting that U-Haul review this situation and provide appropriate coordination to future movers. Thank you for your attention to this matter. No qr code next to key box for self-return. Called next morning to make sure truck was received and was told yes. Several hours later received an email asking when I would return the truck. Made me very nervous. Called the main number and was told they were probably busy with other customers.
