Overcharged me for 11 days on a 5x8 local trailer rental by charging my credit card on 4 separate occasions. On 10/5/20 $29.10 which was only suppose to be a hold when I rented the trailer on 10/2. On 10/6/20 another charge of $174.64 which shouldn't have been charged because I only extended trailer rental, I didn't turn in. On 10/7/20 $29.11 was charged as another deposit I had no idea why I was charged another deposit especially since deposits are suppose to be a hold not a charge. On 10/12/20 $261.96 when I turned in the trailer rental. When I went back to the Uhaul office on 10/13/20 I was told I was to send proof of the charges when they could only see the 3 charges of $29.10, $29.11 & $261.96. The representative Kelly Klunk could not explain why I was charged 2 deposits in the first place. She said that she would reach out to their credit department to have them initiate an investigation. So I asked if I could reach out to the credit department directly and I was told I couldn't. I don't think these types of bank records should be handled by a minimum wage employee.

Only one person working at the time of return, there were three people returning at one time......I had to lift the trailer off myself, no tongue jack. Again not impressed

I found it very interesting that you charge twice. Not sure how legal that is. You have an advertised rate (in my case, $29.99), but also a mileage fee, which is interesting since I had to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas. The $.79 per mile is not advertised, and appears as a required charge. A little false advertisement? It definitely has caused me to re-evaluate ever using U-Haul again for moving. I would MUCH rather deal with a company that is up front with their charges, even if it is more expensive. Sorry you have taken up such unethical practices.

FIRST, your corporate leadership can stop invading my privacy in order for me to rent a tow dolly for two hours at your ridiculous charge of $48 dollars! Your NEW security policies tell me you are out of touch with reality in the modern world! You have forgotten or discarded the honest qualities that at one time made you the absolute leader in the field of truck and trailer rental industry. Now, you DEMAND to take a photograph of the front and back of my driver's license with a CELL PHONE?!?!? Talk about wide-open susceptibility to HACKING and a DATA BREACH of PERSONAL INFORMATION! And then you also invade one of my friends or family's privacy also, by REQUIRING me to provide another person's name and phone number as an alternate contact to vouch for ME! And you WON'T RENT TO ME UNLESS YOU CALL AND HARASS THEM, TOO?!?!?!? W T F!!! Why am I being treated like a thieving criminal?!?!? What am I going to do, STEAL your cheap-ass tow dolly? And then what, you're going to HARASS my "alternate" contact person??? For what purpose?? To "turn me in?" or to try to extort them to pay for my rental?? I have never been so disgusted, humiliated, and/or insulted in my life by a company who should darn well know better! S M H! I may have to use uhaul again someday (ONLY in an emergency,) but I can guaranty it won't be until I have exhausted every other avenue available, including ryder, budget, hertz, penske, home depot, lowes, or even a local towing service,... etc etc, OH, and BTW: The "agent" told me the equipment was "FULLY inspected and certified" to be in good, safe working order after every return,... Well, if so, how do you account for the bent and rusty tire-strap ratchets that I had to use two hands to force open and closed and tighten and loosen the tie-down straps, and the tire tie-down straps themselves that had HUGE gashes and cuts in the nylon webbing at the connection points, and which were weather-beaten and sun-faded (NYLON is WEAKENED BY SUNLIGHT!) and ramp keeper pins that wouldn't engage on the passenger side to keep the ramp extended while trying to load the vehicle? VERY VERY DISAPPOINTING! I have used UHaul several times in the past, and NEVER had such a poor experience. I guess there's no accounting for quality and service here anymore. And The agent just kept repeating his corporate-trained phrase of placation to me with the standard, whimpy, "sorry sir. but it's corporate police. I'm just the agent, I don't make the rules,... etc." Oh how the once PROUD uhaul company has deteriorated,.... Feel free to contact me if you have any explanation or remedy for my complaints and observations,... although at this point I hardly expect it,... Thank you very little!

The lady was great checking in the trailer, she was very helpful and knowledgeable..... I checked in on the phone dropping off truck and everything was very understandable. I DID learn my lesson though and that was to deal with the actual company if ever had to do it again, instead of an independent dealer, other business...I will deal with u haul only. Returned it early so u haul had time to check it out before it goes out again. Thank you!
