Comment U-Haul Fonctionnement des avisThe South Carolina portion of this was very unsatisfactory. The drop off in Georgia was excellent. As a matter of fact, if I can use that location for picking up and dropping off, I won’t be using Uhaul again. Will offer a few specifics: The pick up location on my reservation was not where the truck was. Fortunately, they did tell me where to find it. When I got to the pick up location, it was a convenience store. When I told them I was there to pick up a truck, the lady made a phone call, then passed me the phone. I ended up walking around the store trying to get a truck I had already discussed with the Georgia site, the site specified on my reservation and had completed online prior to even going to South Carolina. The gentleman on the phone and evidently had problems understanding each other. I ended up giving him the same information I had already given twice before. He was also pushing some extra insurance, I finally told him, “ If I will get me the truck I reserved and gets me out of here, I’ll pay it.” The truck itself was fine. No complaints there. The drop off site, I have used twice in the last few months. Excellent.
Tom WIt was a convenient location to me but I’ll never go back. The person that runs the U-Haul isn’t even at the location. The gas station owner has to call. I did all of my check in online but the gas station owner had to call the owner and verify everything and then he made me repeat what I’d already done online in person with him. He was also rude and condescending. If you’re going to operate a business, it’s best if you are available instead of making someone else do your job and do that job poorly
Taylor HThere was no person to deal with. It was a gas station, but it was very convenient to drop off here. The problem is that u haul tried to change my drop off location without telling me to somewhere in Elgin, which was 30 minutes away from the dropoff I chose (and the one I was sitting at). I had to waste 10 minutes on the phone trying to get it switched back to the Rosewood dropoff.
Chris MTook an hour to get the rental complete....then, the Uhaul truck was almost on EMPTY. Went back in and told the same lady who checked us in, she couldn't understand (or didn't care) that we we picking up the truck already on EMPTY when it should be FULL. Needed the truck, so....Went immediately (to another gas station) and filled up the tank - at a price of almost $100. In short, the truck itselft was great, clean, ran perfectly. However the checkin was AWEFUL.
