Comment U-Haul Fonctionnement des avisThe pickup location (a gas station) was mostly good. Grateful for the convenient location, the staff were friendly and helpful. The truck pickup area was a little cramped (hard to back out, take pictures, etc.), but not a big deal. My only complaint is the incredibly misleading and deceptive pricing. What was advertised as “starting at $20” ended up being a charge for ~$160 for a 4-hour rental with about 45 miles of driving. That’s insane.
Joe MWhile the attendant was pleasant, the location was in a slightly sketchy area and it would be best if they went with you to first inspect the vehicle. When I went out back to get the truck there were beer bottles and food containers sitting on the back of it, and human feces just behind it that I almost stepped in. The truck itself worked fine, but was unclean. The handle to get in had something yellow spilled and dried all over it and the inside had not been wiped down in a long time - the steering wheel left your hands feeling filthy. The gas was also almost on empty. When I reported that to the attendant they just told me not to put much in... but predicting how much you'll need for your move is an issue, so I ended up wasting probably $20 on gas for the next person. It really should be at least a quarter or half a tank minimum, so that you can determine what you're using and not immediately require a stop at the gas pump. Given it's a gas station, that shouldn't be hard and it felt like a ploy to spend more money there. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but this whole situation started the day off on the wrong foot and it felt like there was zero recourse being a pick-up location and not a Uhaul with customer service.
Samantha BTerrible experience. First, the address is incorrect. 3400 NORTH Colorado Blvd is an empty parking lot. the correct address is 3400 Colorado Blvd. (NO NORTH!) Truck smelled like urine. Homeless folks everywhere around this gas station, found one "sleeping" in our truck with all their belongings. Back of the truck was trashed. Lock your trucks in this location!!
Gary GI don’t know, no one there. Glad there was a sign so felt ok to drop there
