The people here completely screwed up my u haul reservation I had made and charged me $250 extra. I marked altamont as the drop location and they gave me a uhaul that was an in town rotation WITHOUT letting me know. Absolutely terrible experience definitely not doing it again.

Kevin LApparently there are no dedicated U-Haul dealers in the Effingham, IL area. They're motels or towing services. I was re-directed for a pick-up location because the woman who owned the place where I was supposed to pick up the trailer closed for several weeks for maternity. When I arrived at the second place, the office was closed. I called the number on the door and the guy answered and said he could walk me through it over the phone. Meanwhile a tenant in the motel was looking to hook up a drug deal. So l hooked up the trailer myself. Good thing I didn't need a 6x12 trailer, I wouldn't have been able to lift it up myself.
