I clicked "not applicable" because "not sure" was not one of the choices.....There were 2 reservations in my name at 2 different locations, confusing! Also, I gave my credit card #, which I am always reluctant to do, and sure enough, when my driver went to get the truck, he was told "we don't have any card" (SO WHO TOOK MY CARD NUMBER AND WILL USE IT FOR WHAT NOW?????) and my driver had to use his own cash to get the truck, inefficient, inconvenient, and extremely unacceptable!!!!!

Truck needed an oil change according to screen reminder; truck was muddy inside & out when we picked it up; windshield was fogged from plastics off-gassing inside, Some proper service would've made this next-to-new vehicle a larger pleasure to drive.

I had to keep U haul over night, and there was no mention of extra charging if needed to keep it, except expected daily use charge. Once i returned it i was told that i am being charged 50 dollars fee for not returning on time. Somebody else reserved it, and because I didn't return on time they are charging me missed reservation fee of 50 dollars, which i had no idea U HAul has this policy. On top of that 50 dollars was on my bill as cleaning fee.

I had registered for self check-in online when I reserved the truck. This was entirely unsuccessful as the self check-in process does not work via the phone/software. Luckily, someone was present and helped me get situated. Horrible self check-in technology, but excellent customer service provided by the rental pick-up location.

I was charged double including insurance for an extra day. I had marked 4 hours and used it for slightly over. The site had many trucks and told me they were slow. I should have marked it for a full day and would have been charged half as much. I will not be using uhaul unless absolutely necessary unless this charge is decreased to a daily use. The site was disorganized and not helpful. There was an opened bag of chips and some other trash in the back of the truck when we opened it. The did not know how to help with my questions and took a very long time to get me going and to close the visit.

I felt manipulated into renting a truck and renting one that was too big. When I tried to compare the price between a trailer and a truck, I was told the availability was uncertain, and they needed to know which I wanted to rent so they could check availability. My persistence in trying to obtain the information I needed got me nowhere, so I chose somewhat randomly chose the truck. I was not told there were different sizes of trucks or asked what size I wanted, I was just given a daily price and before I even said yes, I'll take that truck, I was asked that annoying question, "So which credit card would you like to use to reserve this truck?" I hadn't even said I wanted to rent it yet! But reserve it I did for $29.95 for 6 hours. When I went to pick the truck up I was told that though I was renting it for 6 hours, from 12 - 6, this location closes at 5, so would I "like to rent it until the next day?" "No I would not!" Next, when I tried to decline the insurance, the clerk grumblingly said he would have to cancel my existing reservation and make a new one and he wasn't sure he could do that. Sure enough he was unable to cancel the reservation - he even showed me the screen and how it didn't respond when he clicked the empty circle marked "cancel reservation!" Finally, when I brought the truck back there were several other trucks, both enclosed and open, that were smaller and that would have been more suited to my needs - but again, this information was not presented to me: when I asked for a truck, they just gave me the biggest truck. Over-all, I felt nickled and dimed and pressured. I went in expecting to pay in the ball park of $30 to rent a truck to move the washer/dryer I had just bought on craigslist, and came out having paid $86 and that's not including the $15 they would have charged me to park my car there while I rented the truck, had I needed it! This was a fiasco and one I will not repeat or recommend to anyone else.

The binding arbitration clause in the UHaul contract is deeply problematic. The CFPB has announced an attempt to prohibit binding arbitration clauses because of their unjust and unfair nature to consumers. I strongly encourage UHaul to do the right thing by its customers and remove that clause.

Very small location and nowhere to park my car! One staff member checking us in had a very difficult time with the application and it took quite awhile. Persons assisting by getting the truck and equipment as well as the checkin attendants were VERY good

Teach your employees to communicate with the customers better. I was treated very rudely by the employee I dropped my uhual off with. Ealier in the day I had called the facilities saying that I did not think I'd be done by 7 pm and that I would be dropping the uhual off later than 7 but before 8 pm which was when they closed. I was not told over the phone that my insurance costs would double if the truck was late. I was only told that if I drop the truck off in the morning there would an extra 70$ charge, which I knew I did not want to do. However when I dropped off the truck around 7:30, the employee there was very very rude. I was really confused as to why the bill had gone fron 46$ to 80 something$ and instead of explaining to me why, he loudly blamed me for losing a walk in customer because I was 30 minutes late and refused to believe that I had called ealier in the day because I had not spoken to him specifically. (I was even more confused because his voice sounded A LOT like the man I spoke on phone with) It was a terrible experience, ans it felt like the employee was going out of his way to charge me more money because he wasnt in a good enough mood to do his job.
