Seems like this store is a continuous issue. April I had a problem and it wasn’t solved but a credit and now I couldn’t even get a phone call back from the manager. He charged me twice and still hasn’t called me back and the store representatives Whom respresent this company literally said I do not know this sounds like a customer service issue.... in my opinion this is not a representative or a customer service. Someone at the store should be intelligent enough to represent the company

Make sure the equipment is road ready. The fuel gauge did not operate at all. The counter person told me bring it back at a 1/2 tank. Did not notice until I pulled away it was on E. Stopped and put $30.00 in the tank and the needle did not move. Called the U-Haul place I rented it from and they said the manager would call me back. That did not happen. Moved my belongings then pumped another $20.00 into the tank and still again the needle is on E. I put both receipts in the paperwork and along with the keys dropped into the night time drop box. Besides the fuel gauge everything was great and the counter person when I picked up the truck and I can’t recall her name but she was excellent Need to fix the fuel gauge

The truck I rented was clean but the low tire air pressure light was on which also caused the check engine light to be on. This was very anerving as we had a long drive through sparsely populated area and a specific timeline to meet. I don’t ever like driving with a check engine light on.

I rented a storage unit while my wife and I got ready to move to Anchorage. I showed up twice outside of normal business hours and I could not enter the storage area. I believe the storage area was supposed to be open 24 hours; I heard others complain about this as well. I live about 20 minutes outside of town and it sucked to drive all they way back with a full trailer, twice. I also rented a trailer to go one way, Fairbanks to Anchorage, at the end of August, 2018 so that I could empty my storage unit and not have to pay September rent. The trailer I was supposed to pick up on Friday was not there, I came back Friday evening and a replacement was found. I came back Saturday morning to pick up the trailer (I need to get back to Anchorage ASAP); however, the ground wire on the lighting harness was frayed and the lights wouldn't work. I was told to come back Sunday, which I did, and the lights still weren't working. At that point I needed to leave for Anchorage, without my stuff. You guys did give me the month of September for free, which definitely helped the situation. I returned last weekend, rented a 5x10 trailer (which was upgraded to a 6X12 - thanks!), and drove it down to Anchorage on Sunday. I'll admit, I was very frustrated at times due to all the mix-ups and inefficiency. The people working there were nice and did everything they could to help; however, I think there should have been signage about the non 24 hour access. Also, everyone could use a little help with the computer systems and they should probably be upgraded. Thanks d-_-b

This review is against the truck. I picked up the truck with 5/8 tank of gas. When I filled it up the gas gauge didn't budge from 1/2 tank. When I checked the pump it had already pumped $63 worth of gas and filled the tank. The needle still hadn't moved. In the 10 minute trip to the turn-in location the needle slowly moved to the full level. Uhaul should reimburse me for the extra 3/8 tank of gas I put in due to the needle not moving when I filled it.

I reserved a 6 by 12 trailer well in advance. There was no trailer for me on the day of my reservation. I had reserved hotels for 6 consecutive nights and had to leave on that specific date. The best UHaul could do was to let me have a 15 foot truck for the same price. That was appreciated, but meant my truck had to be left in Alaska, 3000 miles away from Reno. I can’t recommend this location because they didn’t honor my original reservation.

The person we were greeted by at the counter. Brian was the best Uhaul representative I have ever encountered. Genuinely nice guy that enjoys what he does. It was a breathe of fresh air to see that customer service is still a thing.

Plan ahead! September is a busy month so bring up extra trailers to meet customer demand. Contract extra mechanical work so trailers or trucks are ready when the customer comes in at scheduled time to pick up. I was told there was a trailer and to pick up at 10am. Not true!!! U-haul Fairbanks does not keep their promises!! I ended up having to pay another year of storage due to u-haul breaking their promise. I will never recommend this company.

Tha condition of the vehicle was fair. Gas on empty like we were told. The workers looked unhappy to be working. The lead worker made negative comment about the other employees. The toils were not set up before or at opening. They need customer service training. Other u haul places I have been to did a walk around. Like I observed at the drop off place.

The scanner gave a wrong return date and the store representative was charging us over $170 in charges. With the original receipt and the texts received on my phone he corrected the charges down to a cleaning fee, which was expected. Even though i did not drive or ride the truck for being my first experience as a Uhual customer it was great.

Poor customer service. I was accused of throwing wood around in the truck because one if the wooden rails was broken. When renting the truck we purchased the insurance because that's what responsible people do and when we went out to the truck the employee never did a walk around with us, He helped us bring out a dolly and opened the back of the truck just enough to throw it in the truck, we never did an inspection on the inside either, however his customer service was great. The house i was moving from has a gravel driveway an is under a spruce tree and we tracked needles into the truck. The employee who checked us in accused us of loading the truck with wood and throwing it around which NEVER happened and we broke the wooden rail in the truck which was ALREADY broken when we got the truck. He asked me several time so you didnt break it and I said no. I was charged $65 for something I didnt break, was accused of doing something I didnt do and further more... I didnt sweep the truck out proving we did put wood in the truck because the would be bark and sap all over if we had. I will never rent from this facility again. And I will NEVER recommend this site to anyone.

Firstly-- when making the reservation, I specifically told the representative the amount of time I needed (just under 24 hours), and when I picked up the truck the time was wrong-- so I asked the representative there to fix the time that I was dropping off the truck. 5 hours later I received a rude phone call from "dispatch" saying that the truck was due back and that "someone will be looking for it"-- way to go uhaul, treating your CUSTOMER like a CRIMINAL! Then the dispatch person made it seem like my fault that the uhaul representative (both of them) did not update the reservation. Top it all off-- when I returned the truck they charged me for TWO DAYS when I was repeatedly assured that I would only charged for one-- as I used the truck less than 24 hours (picked up at 2:00 Monday and returned at 9:30am Tuesday. At first there was nothing that the representative could do because "that's just the way the system does it" but after refusing to donate money to this company-- all of a sudden it was fixable and I will be refunded the wrong amount and charged the correct amount. We will see if that refund happens. I'm glad I am done moving because I certainly will NOT be using uhaul again, and note that I WILL be telling anyone I know who is moving NOT to use them either!

When a customer offers to bring back the vehicle in order to re-rent it at the reduced per mile fee (.79 instead of .99) don’t tell them it’s okay to not bring it in but you will make the adjustment, because I was told this and was still charged the .99 per mile and there was no notes of my call offering to return & re-rent.
