The customer service was AWFUL! I was over. Charged after filling up the gas rank more than I was supposed to!! The manger said he'll fix it whenever just a horrible experience will not be back

More front desk associates to speed wait times
After waiting in line, I went to the counter to be checked in. I was running a little late. The person waiting on me was almost finished when the other customer service said we owe this customer a refund and the customer said he had paid in cash. Then the person who waited on me said you need to go to the other line. (Apparently the person waiting on me had the only cash drawer). I was not happy having waited in line and almost through with my transaction I was told to go to another line. When I got to the other line the person behind the counter asking me all the same questions I had just answered in the other line. I asked about it and was told the information didn't transfer. In my opinion what should have happened was the customer service agent should have finished waiting on me then taken the person who needed to be paid in cash.
I used the self check-in option so I could go don to the yard find my saved truck and go. Instead, once I got to the yard, I started the check-out process and was asked for an alternate contact person and their phone #. I was the only one there for the truck so this did not make sense. I entered a 2nd name and # and clicked submit. Each time I did it would re-direct me back to the the same alternate person page. After entering 4 different names and #'s I finally had to go inside to check in with the person on duty. She was nice, but she kept having me retry the submission and each time it would end up with me being redirected to the same page. Finally she stated she could check me in on her side of the equation. After 45 minutes of check in time I finally had my truck. This system is completely useless, and entirely non-user friendly. Even the process of checking in with the attendant could be so much better. Will look for other options when needing to rent a truck next time.
It's my third time to this location, and John and Joe just don't get any friendlier. It's big with lots of equipment in a convenient location. But Wouk fit kill you guys to be kind to customers?
Have a faster way to grab the key when using mobile device. Had to wait in line for approximately 5 minutes

The truck did not have AC and we had it in AZ in the middle of the summer. But overall it was a great experience, thank you.

Reserved online for truck and min insurance ONLY. When returning truck they snuck in charges for dolly & moving pads that THEY had conveniently left in truck. Then when paying the GM John Ludwick pretended not to know what the extra charges were for when it BLATANTLY had the added charges on my receipt.
Completely messed up rental contract. Ended up costing me hours on phone to make it right when it was not my issue. Disappointing.
Long wait 45+ min even though I had checked in online - credit card authorization system down. Understaffed during drop off - had to wait. Arrived in plenty of time to meet deadline but by the time I was waited on I had exceeded my 8 hour limit and was charged for a second day. The only way to resolve the issue was to go into the office and wait in line again (another 30 min). to finally get the 2nd day charge removed. Very disappointing as my previous experiences with U Haul were all top notch
I reserved a tow dolly online 4 days before the pickup date and it was confirmed. When I arrived to get it I was told they didn't have any. Big disconnect between main office and the store. The store did have a full size trailer that I used .
Renting here was overall good. However I was a bit disappointed that even when choosing the mobile option for checking out i still had to go inside for the keys instead of obtaining them from a lock box. I was given a picture with instructions on where to find the lock box for the key and the trucks location. I found the key box in the right spot but the key was not inside and i was given no code. The truck was not located in the spot shown in the picture either, it was actually on the other side of the property. I then had an issue with mobile check out because it gave me a different truck number than the actual truck i was assigned. I then had to go inside a second time to make sure I was taking the right truck with me. It worked out, however, I would expect, especially right now with Covid-19 that there should be an option to not go inside the establishment. By choosing a mobile checkout option and truck pickup it was advertised to me that I would not have to go inside at all. The employee was nice and understanding, however I was a bit annoyed by the situation.
Customer service was a little slow, but might have been expected with the pandemic scare.
Have more staff available to answer the phone, took forever tp get though. Once I got through the scheduling agent was super nice and very accommodating.
While it is easy to book online, the office visit it still not avoidable as you would need to go there if you wanted a hitch to be fixed etc.
We originally reserved at I17 and Deer Valley, the equipment wasn't available and we were switched to this location. Thomas S was rude and condescending at both pick up and worse at drop off he shouldn't be interacting with customers.
The manager was awesome they don't come any better than that
No visible process for social distancing upon return
You guys screwed me over really bad. My husband and I borrowed a U-Haul, we got it at 3/4 tank full of gas. The girl said â€œIt should be fullâ€ when we got it, but she must not have known it was not full. So we spent $20.50 leaving the gas a little OVER what it was when we got it, only to be charged $15.38 for fuel. Such crap. I wouldn't rent from them again.
U-haul needs to hire friendly people who are knowledgeable about the products sold. Side note: even less happy that no one could explain my bill that started at $444 for a 12x6 trailer for a week ending up costing $630. I would use U-haul as last resort in future and I bet this review not's published either.
I always have a wonderful experience here. All of the team members are so friendly and very helpful.
