I had to get gas before I could start my project. The back of the truck was dirty and upon arrival, the staff could not locate the key for the truck at the location. It was very disorganized and I don't understand why Jaime had to check my contract when I picked up the key since I did everything on my iphone. It was a very disappointing experience at must be a pattern for this location since I had a similar experience last month,.

The manager there went above and beyond to accommodate me. The truck I had reserved wasn't available when I got there in the morning. I had to come in the next evening to pick it up. The previous renter was an hour and a half late which put me in a bind as I was on a time limit. Jesus went to the renters home and helped him finish unpacking in order to get me the truck quicker. He compensated me for all my troubles and was very kind throughout the process. He did everything in his power to make my experience better. I personally believe the problem lies with Uhaul itself and the way the company is run. Some simple changes would definitely make it a better company.

Everything was OK until we found the elevator out of service and we had a big load of heavy stuff. Maddison was able to remedy the situation and get us another like storage space on the first floor that worked really well. I am very happy with the customer service! Love the location - less than 1/3 mile from my house and was able to take care of cleaning out the garage!!!

The reservation experience was an absolute nightmare. I had reserved a truck a month in advance and 3 days before I needed it from a different, closer location, and it was canceled by way of voicemail with no reason why. Trying to quickly find another one, in a short time I reserved another over the phone only to have the woman reserve the wrong day. In calling to notify the location I was running a bit late the day it was supposed to be booked for, the customer service rep tell me the date for the truck which was incorrect. Lucklily she found me one the day I needed it, a smaller one than requested but we made it work. I could not believe the headaches I had to reserve a truck in an already stressful time. The Jackson Street location and trucks were fine and this isn't a negative review for the location, but the overall experience is where I am extremely displeased.

I am glad I finally got my issue resolved but I am angry it happened at all. The line to check in to get my 9 am reserved truck was 45 minutes (losing me a full hour of pack/load time) then the truck I got was covered in yellow paint and cleaning it cost me another 2 hours (1 hr to have u-haul staff mop it out + 1 hr for me to wipe down the walls + tape plastic garbage bags to the walls so my furniture wouldn't get yellow on it) I asked if it was okay to turn the truck in after hours since I lost so much time and was told yes, but then got charged extra for turning in after hours. I spent 1 hr on hold and finally went in person to get the charge reversed because it wasn't my fault I had to turn in late. Finally got the charge reversed but the whole thing has me really angry. This was a crappy experience and I returned the truck in clean and unscathed I shouldn't get penalized for that. I never should have been given a truck in that condition to begin with. I gave the truck back cleaner than when I got it and it's bs that I ordered $28 insurance but then got charged $56 for insurance that was never used because I returned the truck cleaner than when I got it. Should not have had to fight with uhual the next day to get the charge reversed back to $28. That's just bs. I do thank the manager for resolving the issue eventually. I appreciate that he did, but check the trucks before giving them out and don't charge people extra if they lose time because of something out of their control, like the truck being covered in yellow paint that they then have to clean.

The truck bed was a little dirty. Not sure if the van was clean/sanitized before hand, given everything that is going on. On the brightside, the backup camera was really clutch! It came in very handy. Overall, it was an above average experience. 7.5/10.

The photos shown on the app for inspection were quite out dated looking. But otherwise good. This location seemed to have quite a few trucks not shown when I was trying to reserve one. But otherwise the location itself was good. Lots of issues with the app.

I reserved a truck for my move on October 9th. On the 23rd the day before my move, my pickup time from 6:30am was moved to 6:30pm, I received this change through an email notification. I called the location (Dublin, Ca) and spoke with Amber-who over the phone graciously made the switch back to the morning. When I showed up on 10/24 I was told my reservation was for 6:30pm-I advised of the following and the response I received was in a perturbed tone we don't have any trucks available the earliest you could get one is 4:30pm-I'm moving today and movers are coming at 9am. We could offer you a van. A van won't work I'm moving a 2 bed apartment does anyone have a truck. Eye roll by the young girl at the counter-annoyed look on her face that I wasn't leaving. Her coworker and she found a smaller truck available in Hayward. 2 things U-Haul charges for mileage commuting to and from Hayward is 30 miles, as opposed to Dublin which round trip including move would've been 15-there alone you doubled my mileage, then we had to make 2 trips instead of 1 had 1 received the truck I reserved. U-haul should honor reservations made in advance and not change anyone's reservations without first consulting with the customer. Secondly, if the customer is required to pickup a truck at another location because the reservation location doesn't have one then U-haul needs to pay for the additional mileage. Further, I was supposed to be able to drop the u-haul off in San Ramon further cutting down on mileage not an option yesterday. As for the Jackson Street Hayward location the staff there were very nice and professional. Although it adds miles I'd rent from them as they understand customer service. Dublin needs some serious retraining

We rented the uhaul on this branch, they soppose to check their uhaul prior before they rented it out for safetiness of the customer, it delay my moving because they gave me a uhaul w a nail on the tire, they know it bec they put a mark on that tire plus when were driving that uhaul it's shaking in the freeway even were driving it not fast, not only that they charged me $25.00 for cleaning, plus we waited long in line when we return the uhaul, employee not friendly, I am a regular customer of uhaul company first time I deal with this kind of problems, I'm still gonna rent trucks to uhaul but I'm not going back to that branch and never gonna recommend that branch to my friends or people I know if ever they needed a uhaul.
