the physical location is very nice and seemingly enough inventory. the prices here are about 25% higher than Carlsbad, so i will warn my contacts about this....overall value is marginalARUN S.

The check-in process was not clearly explained to me. I turned in the keys to the truck prior to getting the pictures that were required so I was unable to take them. I did not know I would have to take pictures of the inside of the vehicle. It would've been much less complicated for me had that been explained during the rental process.Ann N.

When I picked up the trailer the reservation wasn't in the computer which increased the time on the lot. Your personnel need to work on their people skills, such as proper greeting and telling people what to do, why not ask? Also show people how to get the best use out of the equipment, don't assume the customer is familiar with the trailer. I didn't know the driver side wheel well would fold dow to make it easier to get out of the vehicle. A passerby saw me craw out of the window of my car and pointed out, very embarrassing , especially for a short fat guy. This is the reason I would not I would not recommend this location.TERRANCE S.

Received a call the morning after the unit was to be returned. I was advised that the recovery process was started and that two people had missed their window because of me. Was also told that truck and get to be returned right then and there because there was already someone waiting for it. When I called Uhaul customer service They advised me that no one was waiting for it and no one had missed their time due to me not taking it back. They let me keep it for an additional three hours which helped tremendously. The customer support I received in Hobbs was horrible.LILLY L.

I rent from this location all the time. My business has spent over $5000 YTD. Alisha the location manager has always gone out of her way to make sure we are taken care. I appreciate everything she does. Especially when I forget to take my van back. She would work with me and was very professional. I will continue renting from this location. Let customers know BEFORE renting Pickup trucks they are not allowed to pull a trailer with truck for moving needs. Instead of being treated like a crook who will abuse equipment and tow anything in the world they feel like and damage equipment. Returned truck on same day of renting on 3 day contract because I couldn't use equipment to move with (locally). So now I'm out of $50 dollar, classified as a criminal customer who wants to abuse equipment for 3 days. Sorry, I didn't realize U-hual store Managers are suspious of customers. Maybe it's because I didn't rent a trailer from Uhaul with truck rental so I was deny use of trailer hitch on pickup. Be sure to thank Hobbs Manager for perfect customer service, generating charges for unknown restrictions on equipment uses returned because customer found out full usage of rental wasn't allowed to be utilized by customer, defeating the purpose of rental and returned for none use due to undisclosed restriction. Excellent service, generate funds for not used returned equipment but oops, it was drove off parking lot for 5.5 miles, returned same day and charged twice the amount of the daily rate plus what ever other Fees but hey, you made money instead of helping customer out, great service Thanks Rick D Flippen Satisfied U-haul customer .RICKY F.

Do what you are supposed to do. J received an email confirmation and a live telephone confirmation the day before my reservation saying that I was all set for my after hours pick up at the Hobbs, NM store. When I arrived my truck was not ready. I had to call customer service for help. They asked me if I could go to another store. I told them NO and it was unacceptable that my truck wasn't ready as promised. I mentioned that someone should come out and give me my truck because they made the mistake and the customer service rep agreed. The store manager eventually came out and gave me my truck. I would expect a mistake to be made if I was renting a truck from a ,"mom and pop" operation but this was UHAUL and I expected better. Again, DO WHAT YOU SAY YOU'RE GOING TO DO because your customer's time is valuable.Lorenzo M.
Being charged for after hours drop off when it wasn't due until the next morning is ridiculous!!! Already pay enough to rent a uhaul much less be blind sided by dropping off after hours ..never again ill rent from another company and I've been a valued customer for yearskristie B.
