I was very upset with the reservation process. This was for a same day rental, so i was very happy that there was availability. I requested a 24hr rental. The operator on the phone stated I could have the rental from 6:30PM Sat night, but had to have it back by 6:30AM as there was a reservation for the next morning. The facility opens @7AM, so I asked how was I supposed to return it at 6:30 when it didn’t open until 7. I also asked what would happen if I overslept and returned it late. The answer was I would be charged for another day. When I arrived at the location to pick up the rental, the associate ask me how long I would need the vehicle. I answered 24hrs, to which he said no problem. That meant i could take my time and not rush because I now had an extra 12hrs to move. When I asked the associate if there were any reservations for that truck the next morning, he checked and answered no. My issue is as follows: All rentals to my knowledge, are for 24hrs. My impression is that the operator on the phone appeared to try to get me to have it back first thing in the morning, so that it could be re-rented and UHaul make more money, or so that i would be double charged if late returning. I can only assume that this is SOP for UHaul. Tell the customer they only have X hours for the rental, instead of the 24hrs, so it can be re-rented, or so that UHaul can charge the customer 2x instead of the 24hrs. This, in my mind, is used car salesman tactics!

I'm sure you guys don't exactly prioritize customer service as part of your business, as the truck worked fine as needed, but I literally waited 45-50 minutes in a 4 person line while the incompetent customer service rep slowly moved about. It should not take over 45 minutes to pick up a truck. When I finally got to the front of the line the guy was texting his friends on his personal phone with emojis. What a complete waste of my time, total incompetence and lack of respect for his job.

I have the worst experience with this place, Darren is a horrible manager. He is a liar. I dropped my van off after hours. I was told it was okay. there was no where to put the key so I put the key under the van rug and called the 1800 number to let them know what I did. DARREN the unprofessional liar reports the keys are lost and charged me for a lost key. I can't believe someone so unprofessional even has a job. I called the coporate office and reported Darren the unprofessional liar. I have not received a phone call back even though records show I contacted the company to say where the keys were at. Darren answers the phone and acts like he a regular employee. he can't even handle the problem I'm calling about. I know It was Darren because he left a message. I will never use UHAUL again. you people are a joke.

I rented a truck for two days Tuesday pick up with a drop off for Thursday. I picked the truck up on Tuesday 10:13 am and asked what was the latest I could drop off on Thursday. The initial sales rep Wilfredo Baez was very cordial and when I told him I would have a ride at 12 to drop off on Thursday he stated it would be fine and I would not be charged for an extra day. . I got to the uhaul location at 11:40pm after stopping to get gas for the vehicle. When I arrived the person at the desk Mr Darron Spriggs who states ‘my name is on the doir’, refused to honor the agreement two days prior and kept saying its 24 hours in a day and you are one hour over the time. He was very impolite and even though we told him this is our first experience renting a truck and i asked the person whether returning it at noon was okay and the previous employee had stated yes. He was very beligerent and stated he did not care. As a first time customer who is not trying to get over on anyone but doing as I was told, I am extremely dissatisfied. He also went as far to highlight the gas guaze which was off by 1 ml below the 1/4 tank and I was charged a fee of $4:25 for the gas. I understand contracts but I took the employees word that 12 would have been okay. Mr Spriggs as a manager could have stated his employee was wrong and apologised. Instead he was rude and on a power trip.
