Staff was good, vehicle in good condition . Everything was good until it was time to return the vehicle and do the online check in after hours . The app would not allow us to log i., My husband had to drive all the way home without checking it in, then finally the app let us log in, but we realized it wanted our check in location via the phone's location service. Tried to call customer service to check in for us, but after waiting on hold for way too long, he decided it would be faster just to drive back to the uhaul place so the app would allow him to check in showing the right location. After driving back to the uhaul for the 2nd time, the mobile site would not recongnize his location even though he had the settings to allow location services , so he had to just come back home again and wait a very long time again to get through to customer service again. When we finally got through to speak with a rep, they said the server was acting up. We didn't know whether we'd be charged a penalty for not checking it in online by 11pm as stated in our contract, so after hours of exhausting work moving our household and just wanting to get home and go to sleep, we then had to spend an hour and a half of our night dealing with this. Time well wasted!!! They should pay us for wasting our time. Really frustrating. They should just go back to the days when you just drop it off, put the keys in the drop box and let the Uhaul personnel do their job to check it in. They should not make the customer waste their valuable time doing the admin job that Uhaul employees should be doing.

Great service from both check out and check in. Issue was the truck. Windshield wipers may never had been replaced on a truck with 89K miles on it. Truck leaked during constant rain. Boxes were soaked. Upper seal was not intact on forward roof.

When I dropped off, truck was inspected and that was good. Until the employee noticed a dent on the passenger door, and called manager. Manager addressed it and did not try to charge me for something that I did not do. I was on my way after about 5 minutes upon arrival.

The return was a bad experience. No one greated me. The 2 returns lanes were blocked. In the right lane a van was in the last spot not pulled forward and in the left lane was a truck picking up a car carrier that their was an issue with. No one greated me and after sitting for 10min I just pulled around and dropped the trailer.

Dropping off after hours was confusing as the visible sign indicated I should use the on-line app however the on-line app displayed a message stating I had to see someone at the counter. This meant I had to go back in the morning. Not the fault of the Manassas location - this is a fault of the U-Haul app. The team at the location was very helpful and very polite.

This is a premium location offing everything uhaul sells or rents including on sight storage and a covered pick up return site in case of bad weather. This is a show place of what uhaul should be !!!!!! I live a mile from this place and after explaining my rental not having a appliance dolly after we reserved one he let me borrow free of charge one to unload the heavy item that we needed it for to begin with. That is first class customer service and why I always choose Uhaul first when I move items .

First of all I reserved for a pick up at Potomac Mills. I asked to make sure there was truck. I had no transportation to go any further. So they sent my reservation to Manassas and I had to pay extra for mileage and I didn't ask for this location!! We originally had walked into Springfield location but they didn't have any trucks available. This has never happened. I spoke to several ppl who pass the buck to the person. Last person was cinthia Molina who her excuse "was you beat us. We were ready to call you". And say that uhail was a family business and we do not have the man power to call the customers. And I guess thought it was ok. No not exceptable. Plz I can and will not be throwning money that I don't have. Plz can you refund me any of mileage? I was told there was no one else to speak to.

UHaul's reservation system is the problem, not this U-Haul location. I made a reservation more than a week ahead of time for a 26' truck from this location with an 8:00 AM pickup. 8 days prior to the reservation I got an email confirmation of the reservation. So far so good. Two days later I got a text and an email saying my pickup was 25 miles away and at 11:30 AM. I called to ask what was going on and was told that the computer must have messed up and assigned a truck that was not available. OK, not ideal, but still have a 26' truck. U-Haul sent an email that guaranteed the truck at this new location and time. Then the day before the rental, another text and email saying the pickup is now 21 miles in the opposite direction and not until 1:30 PM. I called customer service and said that was not acceptable. The agent was not apologetic and said there was nothing she could do. I was transferred to a scheduling supervisor and told there were no 26' trucks available in my area. All they had was a 17' truck. So I agreed to a 17' truck with pickup at 7:00 AM and the supervisor cut the rate in half and credited miles to cover a round trip. When I showed up at 7:00 AM to pick up the truck, surprise, there was no truck. I was told that it had't been turned in the night before as scheduled and the family was supposed to return it after 10 AM. I understand that if someone fails to return the truck on time there is not much they can do. But they knew it was coming in late and failed to inform me of this so I didn't waste a trip to the U-Haul rental center. Bradley at the Dumfries location was very helpful. Someone had returned a 15' truck overnight (that was the largest available) so I took that as I had people waiting to help me move. Bradley provided enough miles for two round trips and credited $50 for the rental at $50. That was the best he could do and I appreciate his excellent service. You must be aware that the U-Haul "guarantee" is worthless and not a guarantee at all. As you can see in this case, they didn't have the size truck I reserved at the location I reserved, so I don't know what they think they are guaranteeing. Given that they allow trucks to be returned late, they can't guarantee you a truck. This cost me (and the people helping me) an additional 3 hours of driving and another $36 in gas to make a second trip because the truck was smaller than I needed. The poor communication about why all the changes to the reservation, the false guarantee, and the impact to me are why I rate U-Haul reservations, and not the Dumfries Rd U-Haul, as extremely poor and not a service I'd recommend anyone use.

I was charged for damage that I did not do. On my receipt it states I caused damage to the rear bumper on the drivers side that it "looks like it was backed into something". When I returned the van the same day, I gave the keys back to the same employee that checked it out to me and he did not do a walk around check of the vehicle with me. I did take pictures of the vehicle so I would like to see the damage in question to know if it matches the pictures I took of it as there was no damage when I returned it. Because of this whole ordeal I don't feel like I can trust the 10480 Dumfries Rd, Manassas, VA 20110 location, will most likely not rent from them again and most definitely won't recommend them to anyone in the future.

6x12 trailers are not actually 6x12, I didn't find that out till I went to load it. So the traile sat for 3 days while I had to leave behind what I intended to take. Cost me 3 days rental for absolutely nothing. Be sure to measure the trailer yourself

Service was amazing. Haven’t used Uhaul in awhile but definitely will again when the need arises. Pickup was easy and the drop off was fast and hastle free. Price point was good too. All around great experience.
