Actually, what made this site rank highly in my view was how they recovered from an error the U-Haul website made—they did not have my reservation on their records, although my confirmation email clearly said the truck was to be at there store. They took a few moments to find my online record and discovered that even though my record said “Midwest Ace, Manhattan, KS”, the truck had been reserved at “Midwest Ace, Junction City, KS”. They called the Junction City store and made arraignments for me to take one of Manhattan's trucks and they would fix it with the Junction City store.

We were told at the last minute we had to drive an hour each way to pick up our truck rather than the location in our town. The new location was at a hardware store and the employees were slow and complained about having to work for U-Haul

Was charged a $20 "After Hours Service Fee" because I brought the truck back after they closed. Needed my car back before the morning. Tried checking it back in online but your website wasn't operating properly. Honestly, to me that charge makes no sense.

I'm giving this a poor because I initially wanted this location and then was told I had to drive 25 miles out of the way to another location. I was at the new location at 9 am like I was supposed to and then I am told there is no truck for me and I had to drive another 25 miles back to where I wanted to pick it up in the first place. I cannot express my disappointment in this. I want to be contacted and talk to someone about some sort of reimbursement for this. My time, gas, and wear and tear on my own truck were set aside by the company and I'm very frustrated about it.

The specific worker who "helped" us check our truck out was extremely unprofessional and rude to me. He stated multiple times that I screwed up when everything on my end was normal and I didn't have any issues with uhaul until he got involved. The only reason I even had to work with him was because he failed to report the truck we had reserved stolen so we spent several minutes searching for a truck that wasn't there. He told me my drivers license was expired tomorrow and when I said it actually wasn't he replied and a very angry and raised voice, "ma'am I'm just reading what's on the screen so I don't know what to tell you", he had misread the date we were returning the truck as the expiration date of my ID and I just wanted to correct the small mistake and he caught an attitude and continued to berate me when I asked questions about very important things I would need to know as the customer. When we were leaving he said, "see you tomorrow' and I told him I hoped I didn't have to see him because he was very rude and he responded by yelling full volume, "bye, bye, have a good day". It's also important to note that my friend was there with me the entire time and not once did he speak to her rudely as he did to me and neither me nor her were anything but polite and calm with him. I will never be using Uhaul again after this.

The truck was clean and in good condition. The only issue I had was that the gas cap was not on at the time of pickup, so I lost a quarter tank of gas before another driver flagged me down to let me know gas was spilling out.
