Every time I go in for something it is poorly staffed and there are always problems checking out because of bad internet or computers or both. On this last trailer I rented I spent over an hour trying to checkout never again. I should be compensated for my time wasted there.

The truck had a failed oil gaged & the battery died which cost me time and money. I requested a credit because I had to rent for an extra day to get my move completed & I got no response from U-Haul.

The entire reservation and rental process was a disaster. I scheduled to rent a vehicle at a location very close to the place where I needed to pick up the goods to move. Just 21 minutes before I was scheduled to pick up the vehicle, I got a voicemail saying I had to divert to another location -- which, with traffic, took about half an hour to get to. It was also SIXTEEN miles away, adding the cost of gas as well as unplanned time to my schedule. When I arrived, I had to wait in line for over 15 additional minutes, then was AT LAST informed that the tank on the truck only comes with a quarter of a tank of gas (instead of full as in the past). Additional time was then required to put gas in the tank. This was a one-way rental from a city to a remote rural area and I COULD NOT get a straight answer in advance about a drop off location. I had helpers coming from a significant distance away, who had to sit around waiting because of the unplanned delay. They also could have left a vehicle near the drop off to simplify the return process, but without an answer in advance, I could not make those arrangements. I have used Uhaul a number of times, but I am not going to make sure I tell everyone I know that I had a horrible experience and to avoid renting through your company. The new quarter tank policy for gas is clearly designed to fool people into putting extra gas in the tank and essentially donating the gas to you. What a terrible idea; it just makes the whole experience feel exploitative.

Your representative was quick and even though she was really busy, took time to answer questions. I'd recommend U-Haul at this location. Could use an extra hand Fri. Sat. Sun. mornings as this is when locals come to get their rentals. Wait time a little long.

Clerk was very distracted and rushed. Truck had no gas in it. Clerk told us it had 3/8 of a tank. I did not come with lock. I was not told this prior to Leaving. I returned for lock. Told I had to buy one. They were out of the lock the clerk recommended. Truck was very old. Nearly broke down. Multiple times durning up the service lights came on. The breaks were shot. Made lots of noise when breaking. Had to put foot down all the way to break. Very unsafe.

signed up for quick in and out and still took 45 minutes to get paper work done and then still had to get hooked up, when I got back to drop off trailer lady told to just drop trailer and go. Well 2 days later no one actually processed return paper work until I came back to check, found out it was sitting on hold!

So, to show up on my reserved day and then told there are no more left a bad taste in my mouth. I will not give that location the opportunity to screw me again. Thanks for nothing

Original location failed to let us know our truck never arrived. We showed up, and it wasn’t there. Had to drive 30 mins in another direction to pick up a 15ft. Was given credit and extra miles but we still had to make 2 trips when we moved an hour and 15 away. Additional 3 hours of driving when moving is already time consuming enough. Ultimately- the pick up Location was fine. They all complained about being on lunch which is weird that everyone too lunch together but it got the job done.

Some of the staff does not seem to know how the mobile check in works. I was misdirected and it took longer to pick up my rental truck because of this, which cut into my time to use it. The woman at the register was nice and helpful and the gentleman I returned the truck to was very polite. The woman that I was approached by upon entering the lot was rude and didnt understand how to so the mobile rental. She cut me off and was condescending when I tried to explain that I was doing the mobile option. Other then that, my experience was pleasant.

We had multiple contacts with this location and all were excellent. From answering questions, to purchasing supplies, to picking up and dropping off U-Boxes, the entire staff there were extremely good to work with. The store is often quite busy, and yet they always manage to get things done for you and treat you with interest and a smile.

I had originally reserved a truck in Modesto but last minute it was changed to Manteca and for a different size. When I got there the employees were rude and didn’t seem to care that I was even standing there. Mid-conversation the employee gets a call on their personal cell phone and answers it, cutting me off, and proceeds to ask if their friend can bring them a Gatorade and see ask how they’re doing. Once they were done with their conversation they then started “helping” me again. After I got the truck all the way home i realized they never gave me the dolly cart I had ordered but I wasn’t about to drive all the way back to Manteca from modesto to pick it up. Very unprofessional and hard to work with.

I have used the U-Haul phone application for the third time now. Each time I have had more than one issue with various elements of the process. I addition, early this morning (5:30) I used the application for my van rental. However, when I went to use the key stored in the lock box, it was not the key for my vehicle. I call U-Haul and they apologized for the inconvenience and told me the general manager for the store would arrive in 30 minutes. She never arrived. In fact, two employees told me when they arrived at 6:00 they could not assist me. They were both put off by me asking them for assistance so early in the morning. Finally, an indifferent employee took his time in going in and finding the correct key. All told, I spent an hour and a half waiting to be helped. How does the wrong key end up in the box and the store responsible does not take any responsibility or apologize for their error? You have a terrible service. I was told by the U-Haul representative on the phone to expect a $50 voucher for the mistake and inconvenience. However, I doubt you will follow through or even respond to my comments.
