I had a much better experience with American storage, than I do going to the uhaul location/store. No one at the direct uhaul, smiles, or a pleasant greeting. I rented a pickup truck and when I went to pick it up, it was rented out for an hour, and they couldn't get ahold of the person to see if they would be back on time. Giving me $50 off the rental and making me drive further. I would have paid for almost 40 miles round trip. Cancelled the rental. I rent a lot from uhaul, so does my brother when he comes in from Alaska.

Difficult to access due to construction. Self check in process took a half hour, which felt ridiculous. I requested a dolly but it was not in the truck when we picked it up.
