Bryan BHi, Had an excellent experience at Safeguard Storage in Nanaimo..., Vivian the key reason. Friendly, professional, very personable and good at her job. I had originally booked a 26' U Haul truck at the McGarrigal Road location. When I went to the McGarrigal location a few days in advance to verify my rental, no one was there. A throwback to the past, if you will, when U-Haul Trucks were rented from the back of Hilbilly Jim's gas station. As I was looking to be proactive and prevent hassles on moving day, I went to the Boxwood location. This place was properly staffed, clean and run by an attentive employee..., Vivian. She set me up with a clean, newer model truck that was in great condition. When I realized that we were going to reqire a second truck...,(underestimated the amount of possessions to be moved), Vivian set me up with a second truck quickly complete with the required moving supplies. A good business comes down to their employees..., having a clean, professional looking store front also helps. In a world that lacks customer service these days, Safeguard Storage(U Haul) should be thankful for having Vivian.
Ian HThis has nothing to do with the location or the employees. Every single person I spoke with was incredibly kind and helpful. U-Haul and their idea to have people return the vehicle with a half tank of gas, is absolutely unrealistic. I believe it is a way to have the consumer fill the tanks with more fuel at the consumers cost. The fact that if I overfill past half a tank that I will not be reimbursed is criminal or if I don't return it with half a tank that you will excessively charge me is criminal. You provide a printed copy of how many litres of fuel it 'should' take to fill the tank to half full is an exercise in futility. You expect a regular consumer to make a guess at how to fill it. I will look for other providers for my future purchases with this completely unrealistic ask.
Jeffrey BVivian, was awesome, professional, courteous, and efficient. I have been disappointed with U-Haul in the past, however, I thought I would give him one more chance and now I’m gonna be a client for a long time because of Vivian.
