Worst customer service i have ever experienced. Was charged over 400$ for damages that never occurred and when confronted all pictures of damages were not available, and when asked where the truck was so i could see the damages the truck had the truck had been rented on a one way trip. I was told all charges were being reversed. Haven’t received my refund through my bank and then i see another charge for my rental, When i was told all charges would be refunded. I was told by corporate nothing could be done about the rental charge even though the inconvenience this has been to me and being out all of this money for something that was not any of my doing they couldn’t refund me my rental cost as a courtesy. Poor customer service, management should be re evaluated. Never will do business again with uhaul.

I called your customer service line and shared with Barbie my experience. Initially the web service was unavailable and difficult to manage and I went into the building to obtain my rental. There was a young lady and a young gentleman working in the office. The young lady was unable to find my reservation initially and was challenged by signing into the computer. At the same time, I was able to finish the registration and was ready for my key. When asked where the vehicle was, I was directed in the one direction, and after walking all the way to the back of the building, I found the vehicle in the opposite direction. When I went into the vehicle, I was unable to adjust the mirrors to see and went back to the office and asked for help. The young lady was now helping another customer and the young man was standing against the wall on his cell phone. The young lady told me to wait just a minute and the young man continued on his cell phone. When I asked for his help again, he proceeded to tell me that he was not on the clock. I adamantly told him that he shouldn't be behind the counter because I was unaware of his personal situation and the young female employee said..."just wait a minute, and relax lady". I walked back to the truck and nobody came out to help me, I just left unable to utilize the mirrors appropriately. Upon returning the truck, the website was not allowing me to check it in. The office was closed, so I parked the truck and left the key in the overnight box. I did not call the 1800 number as I didn't think I needed to. And for the record, Elias Martinez's name is on the door as the manager, but no other number is on the door I received the contract the next day with a $20 convenience fee and another $25 fee for cleaning. I swept the truck and don't remember seeing any red feathers as Elias stated to Barbie. I am discouraged and disappointed by the lack of professionalism at this site. As a matter of fact, after picking up my truck, I contacted another Uhaul facility to express my dissatisfaction with the employees and called another site, and they did not have the number to Mr. Martinez. I have lived in the area for 17 years and have rented dollies from there once in a while, I certainly will not be renting another truck from there, and prefer to drive across town to rent from Penske.

The location was perfect. No complaints. Easy to use my device to pick up vehicle, however the process to reserve the vehicle was not so pleasant. I called the 1800 number to have some questions answered prior to completing my reservation and the representative I dealt was extremely rude and felt like I was bothering him with my questions. His responses to my questions were very condescending and made me feel as though my questions were dumb. I should’ve called uhaul facility I picked up vehicle directly cause they were far more professional.

Manager Elias at the Rockdale New Bedford location is awesome, very informative, helpful, great customer service, knowledgeable of all questions that I had. When I went in on 11/23 I worked with Michael Porter. He was friendly, but needed to listen more attentively, he got my name wrong - Mario Pererira, when it should be Mario Pereira, I did not have the apt. number showing on my receipt, and my email was wrong after I went over a few times - mario-mbp@live.com, it should have been: mario_mvp@live.com. I had to call and correct. He needs more knowledge help on what each insurance does as he did not know, he only told me that the 14.00 SaveMove covers a percentage, but that was it, not other help. I was pressured because customers were waiting, and I had to make a decision on what insurance to take on, and I didn't have the information I needed to make an accurate decision, so I settled for the 14.00 ins vs. the more expensive one. Also, I was there two weeks ago to register, but was told I could do all the paperwork on the day I needed the rental truck and storage unit. This delayed my stay there as I wanted to pre do all of this prior and just pick up on the day of pick up. So I felt pressured as customers were coming in and only one staff was there working. I had completed my truck rental with Michael, but had to be put aside to let the other customers who came in after me, to get helped, then he came back to me to help me with my storage, even though I came in originally for both, but I understand due to staffing, he had to take care of the other clients who were just coming in for rentals. Then when I went to inspect the truck the link expired, he didn't know how to resend it to me, so I was told to take my own pictures as he walked away. I said you need to verify this, but he walked away, he told me to take pictures. I pointed out a huge mark on the van and he said I already know it is there, but it was his word against mine, nothing documented, what if he changed his story later? Also lets say I damaged the vehicle later and then take a picture, I could of said this was already there, etc. So to be honest and clear I would have appreciated him to back me up on the photos. When I went back in, at this time the Manager was there now, Elias, he was able to resend the link, and I was able to verify the trucks condition by the link by uploading the pictures at that moment, before taking off. So I really apricated Elias help and hope in the future nobody else has to go through this with Mr. Porter. He was nice, but I felt he was losing patience after.

Staff were not customer friendly they were on the phone the whole time of transaction taking care of their own personal business and not focusing on the business at hand. Then upon return the same “gentleman “ that was there was rude and U.N. friendly when I asked if I had returned the truck to the right spot his answer was “isn’t that what the sign says” overall he was rude and appeared not to be happy with his job ! I would not recommend this location to anyone. My first and last time.
