the online slef check out wasnt working whish would not have mattered because the truck wasnt ready. all of which put me about an hour behind schedule. 1 employee was working very hard to get things ready for the day while 2 other employees were disinterested. the amount i was originally quoted i was told was incorrect and of course it was more.SARA C.

Southside storage was amazing!! Christine went above and beyond to help us after the Old Seward location told us they would not honor the reservation we had for a 10x10 storage unit, which had been confirmed at the time we rented our $3600 truck rental. They told us we could have a smaller unit.......and what were we to do with the rest of our stuff? Employee gave us the manager's number and told us if we wanted a 10x10 unit, we could go to the Boundry location. We went to Boundry and after almost an hour we got a storage unit on the 2nd floor, far away from the elevator with no carts anywhere to be found. The building had one elevator and we waited nearly 10min to go up one time to our unit. There was no way we could hand carry in a 15 foot truck's worth of furniture and boxes. This is where Christine came in and saved the day! She drove back to Southside after they had closed to get us a unit. She was amazing. I called the toll free number to express concerns on the fact that our reservation was not honored and was told I would get a call back from the manager from the Old Seward location within 3 days. To this day, still no response. I did get a call from the Boundry location to verify why I had not used the unit, which I had told the clerk at the counter, and they wrote down the cancellation of the unit the same day I had signed up for it. I explained to the person on the phone what happened and was told I would get a call back about the reservation not being honored, but have not heard back. We wasted 3 hours of our time trying to get a storage unit we should have already had, times 3 people......that is 9 hours! We then had to pay for a rental unit when it was supposed to be free for the first month with our uhaul rental. We would like management from Uhaul to call us to discuss our extreme dissatisfaction with the Old Seward location. I can be reached at 907.242.6708. The excellent rating is for Southside Storage. The Silverton location would get an average rating (they forgot the pads and dolly and truck was not accessible as another truck was blocking it.) The Old Seward location is the reason for the poor rating as I am highly disappointed with their service and their care less attitude that they did not have a unit for us. They could have offered us two small units to make up for the size we were supposed to have, but they did nothing but send us off to the other side of town.Jeff H.

Personnel were courteous and quick. Vehicle was new and a delight to drive. We accomplished all we wanted to do within 24 hours. We have many more projects to do over the summer and will no doubt use your service again. At the time I returned the rented trailer I asked for a receipt and since they were busy they said they would email me one. They did not email me a receipt and the trailer was not checked in properly. I receive several calls trying to find out what I had done with the trailer and when I was planning to return it. This location set their phone to forward to the national number rather than take the call. That resulted in a 20 minute wait every time I try to get a hold of them and of course I only ended up talking to the national office. Even though I called U-Haul and explain that I had turned it and they noted it and said I needed to do nothing more, I continue to receive a couple more calls. In order to resolve it I had to go into this location again and have them look through the records and find out what happened. The entire process took a little over a week. If you do use this location I suggest you take pictures at the time you turn your rental in and that you attempt to get them to get your receipt. Don't let them email the receipt to you.Norris S.

Went in to drop off the trailer so we could unload the truck. Brenna unhooked the car so she could unhook the trailer. She was super sweet and patient with me and my inability to back a trailer up. So she told me to drive around the building and she would unhook it for me. She explained what she would do about checking the trailer in and said it would be already to go when we brought back the truck. When we brought the truck in, I don't know the name of the person but they had braces! Very sweet and nice and accommodating. Thank you Salem UHaul for hiring sweet, patient people.Matthew M.
I would suggest you let the customer know they are responsible to retrieve the added on equipment and let them know where it is. I would also advise you to refund the right amount of money when the customer does not receive the expected equipment.
