I am very disappointed with the uhaul business at this location. The staff is not the friendliest - bad customer service in a customer-facing business is simply unacceptable. Beyond that, I was unfairly charged a cleaning fee and fuel charge that I will now have to take time to contest since no one at Ruiz Shoes Repair answers the phones at the shop. I have never had a problem with a uhaul rental and am disappointed that my neighbothood uhaul in lovely Sierra Madre would be the first.

Esteban MThe truck was parked outside because there was no designated parking lot, but picking it up was simple enough. We returned the truck about seven hours later on Saturday while the store was still open. We expected the total to be less than $90, but were charged over $200. When we called the store, we were told to contact U-Haul directly, which we did on Sunday. U-Haul attempted to call the store, but no one answered. We then had to wait until Tuesday for the adjustment to be processed, only to discover that we had been charged for a two-day rental as well as an extra day of insurance. We had to call again to get the charges corrected. Overall, it took three phone calls to resolve a billing issue that should have been handled correctly the first time. The rental itself was easy, but the billing process was frustrating and time-consuming. I'm sure they can do better.
