Please get a computer that works faster. This is a very busy shop and the employees are so helpful and nice but the computers crashing or working so slow make it difficult for everyone. Everything else is awesome except for your really old and really slow computers this store.

I had reserved a 10 ft truck a week prior to pickup, and at pickup on 8/11 7 am was told that the 10ft truck was not available because they didn't have the keys. That is unacceptable. They did give me a 15ft truck at no additional cost up front, but the larger truck caused some issue in the driving route due to clearance limitations and it also cost additional in gas. I would not use uhaul again. Having issues at both pickup and drop off was not a pleasant experience.

I have planned this move from Boston to Philadelphia couple of month ago. I have installed a hitch ahead of time and rent a trailer on 8/9/2018 from U-Hall Somerville. When I arrived at 1:30pm to pick up the trailer, first I found out that they gave me a wrong size trailer which was 5x8, too small for a bed and other furniture. Luckily a 6x12 was still available that day. We switched over. Then they told me that something wrong with the hitch. The electric wire from the front engine compartment to the trunk was not there. Instead of admit that they did not install it right at the first place, they told me that it could be my fault that I drove my car over a hurdle and ripped the wire. It is just so laughable to cover that they missed installing a wire. Since their mechanic had left for the day already (yes 1:30pm, already call off the day), I had to leave the car and come back the next morning when he returned to work. Next morning on 8/10 at 8:30am, I got a call saying the car and trailer is all set and we can pick it up. When we arrived at 10am, they surprised me by saying that the car was not ready actually, they need more time to fix it. Since my mover is already on the way to the house to load the furniture to the U-Hall trailer, it is too late for me to reschedule the loading. So I have to use a U-Hall truck to get the moving going by loading my furniture to a truck, then come back to this location to transfer my stuff from the truck to the trailer hoping they could get the issue fixed meanwhile my mover can also do their job as scheduled. I am taking time from work two days in a row trying to handle all the extra headaches because U-Hall failed to deliver again and again. All I ask them to do is to help transfer my load from the temporary truck to the trailer. The woman at the location told me that nobody can help and they are not a mover by law. If we are talking about law, then it is U-Hall breaking the law by taking my couch out of my car into their garage and had workers sit on my couch with their working clothes while I left my car there for them to fix their installation issue. I found this woman is totally unreasonable and no sense of customer service at all. She even shouting at me when I said “why are we arguing about”? I told her that I did not use them as a mover. I hire mover to do my part. But they need to do their part to compensate their own mistake. I told her that I am trying to help them and compromise to cover their repeated failure by using a temp truck. This is the least thing they can do to minimize the burden to me so I do not have to move twice by myself and drive 7 hours to Philadelphia the same day. Yes, I need to leave asap to Philly on 8/10, it is a whole day drive and they have already caused delay. Finally in the afternoon, they said that all the problems are fixed again. I started my journey right away. Couple of hours later on the highway, my daughter mentioned to me that “mama, when

This will probably be the last time I use Uhaul for my moving needs. I selected a 15' truck for a one way move from Brighton to Shrewsbury and finished my reservation. After a day or so, I changed it to a 20' truck, for the same move. However, Brighton Uhaul does not do 20' trucks for one way moves, and my reservation was changed, without my knowledge, from Brighton to Somerville. This change halted the rest of my move and brought everything to a standstill while I drove across the city to the Somerville Uhaul, waited in line for 40 minutes, then drove back across the city again to my apartment.

The mobile pickup/dropoff takes a very long time. Some of this had to do with low cell service at the location which made photo upload slow. The staff was helpful because I was nervous about backing the van out of the parking lot so they helped me do this.

Location inaccurately charged me $50 for gas on a 12 mile trip. Customer service offered to have the location call me back to rectify the situation, but the location did not follow through. Over one hour spent on multiple phone calls and still no resolution. Unacceptable.

Staff made it extremely difficult to fulfill the rental request and when I asked for their help with another solution they were hesitant and didn't seem like they wanted to help. When I asked for the simplest questions the gentleman "helping" was answering back with a rude attitude. Not a good experience!

I had to wait 1 hour in line before checking in since apparently their whole staff had called out. The general manager, Manuel, and the assistant general manager were the only two people there, and it was both of their days off! Please consider giving those two gentlemen raises as they did an incredible job given all the people they had to help that day.

I picked up my UHaul before the weather turned to rain, and had it half loaded when the rain started. Shortly after the rain started we noticed that it was leaking, and the rain water was dripping all over my couch, box springs, mattresses and cardboard boxes. As a result, we had to hurry our move and not pack as much as we had planned in order to get to our destination and unpack as quickly as possible. In addition to this, UHaul rounded down the gas gauge to the nearest quarter of a gallon and I was charged $45 for fuel for 5 miles worth of driving. I can't find the 'agreed upon' prices for fuel and fuel service in a contract anywhere. I've searched the website and the contract in my email many times.

We were overcharged for gas and not folding blankets. However, we refilled the tank where it needed to be AND folded ALL of the blankets nice and neat and put them in the trunk. One bag of blankets wasn't even opened.

It was difficult to use the online service to get a truck. I had to keep saying that "I cannot find my truck" to get one that was actually there and not parked in by other vehicles. Also, if I had not approached 1 of maybe 3 staff there, I would have had to wait in a 30+ minute line in order to get my key. Luckily, I was able to catch a staff member as they were walking in and ask if I could just get my key since I did the online check-in and I was able to bypass the line. I was under the impression that using the online check-in system would allow me to pick up my vehicle without any staff interaction.

The online check in process was terrible. It took 10 minutes to locate the truck, then had to wait for someone online to check my license, call someone, seems really unnecessary. Then it tells you go to inside to get the keys, but there’s no separate line for online check in. It was only after I was in line for over 20 mins that the guy asked if there was anyone in line for online check in. Overall I was delayed for nearly an hour, the online check in was a big disappointment.

The gas tank was lower than reported to me on the contract. The contract said 3/8th full, but it was below 1/4 and the Empty light was on. I had such a short distance to go, but I absolutely did not have time to risk running out of gas. I ended up returning it with more gas than I received it with, which was annoying.

We weren't notified when our truck reservation was changed from a 17 foot truck to a 15 foot truck. We only found this out when we were checking in on moving day. Also, it's not clear where people are supposed to drop the keys off after hours. And lastly, there was only one person staffing the desk when we were picking the truck up – – there were a whole bunch of people waiting there, so there were obviously reservations in the system, and having another person processing them would've been helpful.
