Customer service at the UHaul location in Weston road, Toronto, Ontario, Canada is the worst I ever experienced. They don't explain the process when you pick up or drop off the vehicle and they charged your credit card before you can review the charges. I will make sure that myself, family and friends never rent from this location ever again.FRANCISCO F.
Rating of poor is of no reflection of the staff at this location. Instead it is for something I have complained about numerous times before and that is the onerous and very time consuming check in process. The computer programs used by Uhaul are too lengthy, needlessly time consuming and frequently not even working properly for the customer and require assistance from staff. On my most recent visit the one customer at the counter took approximately twenty minutes before walking out with the keys to his rented vehicle. Three other people were waiting in line behind him. The latter is not an exception but the general rule. As a simple example, most other rental companies have an employee scrutinize the driver's licence and scan it and DONE. Why the need to send a link , may or may not be working, and photo front and back of licence? Even if trying to save time by downloading photo online prior to going to location, download takes way too long and sometimes does not even work. Following another link to confirm condition of the vehicle, mileage and gas and take photos to confirm is cumbersome and time consuming. Once info. on link was not accurate, corrected it within link but did not register, program did not tell me it did not register and upon return was charged 100 km more than what actually travelled. Had to return to the location three times before a manager was on duty to authorize the correction. Simply have a staff member come out to the vehicle to confirm gas, mileage and damage and have customer sign off electronically on a Uhaul pad - simple, easy and efficient. Another time clicked onto link and received message "no photos available for this vehicle." Needed to head back to counter, line up, wait turn and have an employee come out to put sticker on damage on vehicle because no photo available online. In short follow the best practices of other vehicle rental companies. The online programs are OK if they were simpler and worked on a consistent basis.Giuseppe D.
Even tho my location service was on for Uhaul I could not access your site to return my vehicle at 7:30 pm. I wasted 40 mins and after no success I took the pictures and then put the keys in the drop box. Then I was insulted to be charged a $20 fee. Terrible service Uhaul.Leanne D.
Went to pick up the van & the tire was flat instead of them just giving us another van we had to stand around waiting for someone to move it & fill the tire. Every time I come to the location I have a bed experience.the staff is the worst & managed poorly.Kolawole S.

I rented a trailer at 3:11 that had a burnt turn signal/ brake light (after Uhual staff checked and cleared the trailer) which was extremely dangerous on the highway. Then when returning the trailer early for 11am and advising staff of the burnt light I was charged 2 days saying I returned the trailer at 3.13 (2 minutes late) which was a mistake. I am very disappointed with the way everything was handled especially as a repeat customer every weekend.JADEID E.

I initially booked a 6x12 enclosed trailer on line during the week and was given a call last Saturday morning 7am 2 hours before picking up that only 5x9 open trailer was available. I then returned the trailer within 2 hours and was still notified the day after that it was still missing and you guys charged me double $99.00. I am not impressed, been put on hold for 30 min this morning, no call back and went in physically and no one addressed my over billing. I expect a full refund. call me 6479824872 JohnJohn B.

Customer service is terrible I can't express this enough. Store closes at 7pm and my vehicle was supposed to be returned by 7pm. I arrived at 6:50pm only for the cashier to tell me the store was closed and to use the self check out online. I tried using the self check out but something wasn't working. I asked the cashier for help and she very rudely told me the store was closed at 6:55pm when the store closes at 7pm. The lady told me to put the key in the drop off box and someone will check out the vehicle in the morning. She went back into the store and slammed the door. The next morning I got my invoice and I was charged for gas which didn't make sense I left the lot with 5/8 of a tank and returned it the same way. Not happy for this service.Chris P.

Initial service was good and I quickly picked up a 10' van. Experience was downhill after return. First of all, I dropped the van off at 1 PM but received a call around 4 PM asking where it was. Shortly after it was confirmed that I did drop it off at that time that I stated. I was charged 2 days for the dolley and a fuel surcharge of 40+ dollars for 2L of fuel. I had filled up prior to returning. When I tried to explain this after a half hour on the phone, I was put on hold and fully ignored. I'm extremely disappointed with the inadvertent charges and the fact they were not addressed. Will not be coming here again.MICHAEL L.
