Offer to assist senior citizen customers picking up and loading their car onto an auto transport. Sadly at 68 my days of climbing under trailers are long gone. It was like pulling teeth to get this young man to help. When he half-heartingly agreed to help, he did a half-ass job. Why I tipped him 10 $I still don't know.STORM H.

I was not treated well by the employees when I came in to rent my truck to move. My card was declined because they were having system problems apparently and when my friend and I asked if we could pay in cash we were told no. So we paid on her card and they failed to tell us she'd now be responsible for the truck she would not be driving. When I came back to return the truck the employee was very nice, but my card ran fine. And I was treated really crappy and when we called corporate and the location itself they treated me like I was sketchy. And I'm just a 20 year old girl trying to move apartments.Olympia J.

The service people were excellent. The unit was clean. The only problem we had was trying to move in on a Sunday. The facility closed at five and we had to pay a 24 hour access fee for the first month so we could move in.Amy K.
The app isn't easy to use and I had to go into the store anyway. The agent who checked me in was very nice and professional. The agent who checked me out was rude and condescending. He tried to charge me 100 miles over what was actually incurred. It took multiple rounds of conversation to get him to see it would have been impossible for that many miles to be driven.CHARLENE W.

My on line reservation was for a truck and 2 dollies. When I went to pick it up there was an error that prevented my completing it through the online process. I went in to the store and gave my information and ID to the staff. He was rude and dismissive. After several minutes he said I had to finish it on line and stopped helping. I finally completed my reservation on my own. The dollies were not in the truck. I went back and after several more minutes was told there were no dollies of the type I reserved. I repeatedly said that they were reserved and asked how they were reserved for me if not available and was told by the worker that â€œ I didn't rent this to you, you rented them to yourself' and was told that I could either leave without anything or take what he had and that he was going to charge me extra for what he had. I finally agreed to take what was available if he would just replace what I reserved with what was available. I was completely stuck as I had a time sensitive move. From beginning to end my U Haul experience was terrible. He was rude and dismissive was completely disinterested in my reservation and met the company's failure to have equipment I ordered available with a threat to charge me extra. I will NEVER use U Haul again and will be calling the BBB as soon as I have time.Kelli B.

I was charged a cleaning fee of $25 which in the maybe 20 Uhaul trucks I have rented from that store including the exact same size truck the day before I have never been charged a cleaning fee. When I was told that the agent said â€œwell you had padsâ€. The tax was charged on Cleaning fee (labor is not taxable) and the fuel which is already taxed I doubt you can charge tax twice. If I am right Uhaul has been overcharging sales tax to virtually every customer.RICHARD L.

Be more affordable. You advertise $20 in town rental on vans a day, but I spent $70+ because of mileage. Just overall false advertising and a complete rip off. I'll just rent an SUV or truck at a rental car company for $25 a day with unlimited mileage next time. Never again will I rent from you.STEPHANIE K.

The dropoff experience was abysmal. I waited in line for 45 minutes while staff just stared confused into their work phones. I guess your entire system was down, but my goodness do you not train your employees to use paper in such an event? Literally one person was helped in 45 minutes, and another gentleman was there at the counter the entire time, and we couldn't help but laugh when, for the 4th time in 45 minutes, they asked him for his address. You really need to train your employees better, but I guess this is what happens when a company monopolizes an entire industry. Capitalism at it's worst...Bryan K.
