Very unfriendly and unhelpful young front-desk guy He was only helpful when I sent my friend (a white male) to talk to him. Really bad check-out experience. On the positive side, the guy that was checking-in the U-Hauls (working super hard) was very nice and helpful (many thanks!) receiving/parking my U-Haul and telling me to no worry that he would take care of everything...which he did!

I didn't use the dolly but it came undone
I have never been so mistreated in my life as I was today on 4th of July 2020 when I went to U-Haul at 3555 East Grant Road. When I went in to rent a vehicle I was assisted by an employee by the name of Chad. Chad was so rude to me I still can't even believe it happened. Chad was rude to me with the language he used both when I rented the vehicle and when I brought it back afterwards. I asked first to rent a pickup truck or a van whichever one was available and both were parked out front. Chad told me that a customer had already reserved but when I came back hours later to return the 10 foot box truck both vehicles were still parked there. Chad used four letter words at me after I asked Chad why he treated me so mean. The last time I dealt with him when I came in to rent a vehicle Chad also treated me rude and I reported him to the manager there, her name is Elizabeth and also to the supervisor, his name is Robert oh, and they both acknowledged that they knew Chad lacked customer service skills and that Chad was rude. U-Haul corporate should terminate his employment for the way he treated me and probably other customers. No one should ever use four letter words towards a customer

i was nervous about renting after i read some of the reviews, but we were treated very nicely and no extra charges were applied. I just didn't want to be taken advantage of and we were very satisfied.
The truck had not been vacuumed. There was candy and candy wrappers on the floor. The windshield had dog snot marks on the inside and was very dirty and buggy on the outside. Fortunately, an attendant at a QT gas station happened to be pressure washing the drive and offered to hit the windshield for us!!
Not your fault, but there was a pile of human feces next to the passenger side door this morning. We didn't step in it, but it sure stunk.
There was a lot of confusion when I made a change to my reservation over the phone on the general U-haul line. It became pretty stressful, but Cooper and Robert were both such a big help at this location. I wish I would have contacted them to work out the confusion in the first place. Thanks to you both for helping me! And a big thanks to you, Cooper for recommending I speak with a manager at this location to straighten things out, which I assume is Robert. Thanks again Robert and Cooper!

Front desk guy was great! Cooper I think was his name? Keep him as an employee.
I ordered moving pads and they were not included. My move suffered because of this. Why is this such a common "omission" from truck orders? Pisses me off that my order was incomplete and that my move was more damaging than it should have been.
The manager who helped me was fantastic!! So helpful and nice. He went above and beyond.
I felt that with a reservation and online check in I should not have had to come into the office and wait 20 minutes. Everything had been done online. UHaul needs to streamline that more. And, the couple in front of me had made a reservation for a specific truck and you didn't have it for them. Since the internet is full of this same complaint it makes me hesitate in the future. There is obviously a chance you won't have what I need. this location is convenient for me so I will most likely be back.
The pickup site met my expectations. However, the website for uhaul.com caused me a great deal of frustration and anguish. Your website is terrible!!!
Windshield, in and outside should have been cleaned.
The mobile pickup process was confusing. I was told to click when arrived, I was told to drive up to the designated truck number that was assigned to me and wait for my verification to be checked. While I was waiting in the car a gentlemen who worked there was signaling something at me which I didn't understand. You could tell he got frustrated and was waving at me again and figured okay maybe hes telling me to move. I then just went to the main parking lot as my verification was still being checked. once verified it said to take pictures of the vehicle so I had to walk back over check the vehicle and then was prompted to get my keys. The mobile pick up process is very confusing, seemed like the gentlemen didn't understand i had to go to the vehicle to check in but i would rather just personally go into the store do all the verification there and be in and out. Due to COVID19 i was trying to avoid contact and was in fact the total opposite. I would definitely recommend a better process so there is no contact and a less confusing mobile system

Arsenio was very comfortable with using profanity and displaying his irritation towards my sister and I (customers) and intimidating us because he was upset we went looking for him an did not get help for quite some time. I would suggest severe corrective action or termination because there are plenty of people seeking employment at this time. Perhaps a newly trained employee would provide professional customer service.
This, and past U-Haul experiences have not been good. I honestly do not know why I come back. Perhaps it would be better to try Penske or Budget next time. This experience, I rented a 26' truck on a Friday due back the next day. The next morning it was discovered that the loading ramp was stuck and wouldn't come out. With the truck fully loaded this location asked we bring it in to look at it saying we were doing it wrong. (The lady at this location was rude and unsympathetic) We came by and sure enough U-Haul couldn't get the ramp out either. After asking to be compensated, we were given an extra day. The following day, we returned the truck on time but at checkout it was showing double all the charges. Now, they are trying to charge $25.00 plus tax for cleaning. Since I know the truck was just as clean as when we picked it up I will not pay these charges. Just another way to get a buck from the customer. And $0.99 a mile is also a little steep. Just always a hassle with U-Haul and rude customer service.
Elizabeth Byron was the Uhaul employee that helped me with my move. She was informative, friendly, and made the experience much more enjoyable than expected. I feel like she definitely deserves recognition for representing Uhaul so well!
The guy who worked here was super prompt and made everything easy, thank you for that !!
