Not so much for the next customer but I do have a complaint. I rented a 17 foot van/ truck on the 15th. I got the truck at noon and was told I had to have it back before close of shift that day. Leas than 8 hours away from my pick up time. If a rental is 24 hours than why was I screwed out of 16 hours and had to scramble to get the truck back before they closed so I wouldn't get charged for another 24 hour rental. Just kinda frustrating is all.

I was pleased with this U-Haul office. I picked up my truck right after they opened at 7am. It was only a short wait to get loaded up (nothing more than usual). The check out, and return of the truck both took only a short time.

The person helping us with the drop off was awesome! Great customer service, nice guy, and made the process so much easier. The only unfortunate thing about the Elm St location is the incredibly small lot that makes it nearly impossible to fit multiple trucks and park your person vehicle. I also used the uhaul site to give my location a call during our move, but the number I used from the site from the location (207-873-6171) direct me to the uhaul call center instead of the place at elm st which was confusing. Other then that it was a great move! I definitely benefited from the upgrade to the 15 footer, the ramp was a lifesaver.

The only issue is I made a reservation to pick up a trailer in Winthrop, Me at 3 pm. I was there at 230. They were closed with no phone call. I then was sent to Waterville , that was great but the initial reservation was set up for me to drop off in Jay, Me. Since that wasn't an option I was charged for 2 days rental because of the extra travel. That part was a little bitter to take.

My car almost fell off the trailer, becuase the strap holding my car in place, dislodged. Uhaul then charged me 194.00 for returning the trailer early, EVEN THOUGH the reason I returned it, was because my car was literally unsafe on THEIR trailer. Do NOT use uhaul trailers to transport your cars.

Where to start. It took 5 days to rent an auto transport. When does a day consist of 12 hours? Your system was inop on 10/16. Therefore, I was unable to rent equipment, which put me in a bind. I had to rush to accomplish what needed to be done - which was to get my car off from roadside and to my house. If I was allowed 24 hours on the rental, it would have been easier for me to get things done. The transport that was needed did not move for at least 4 days prior. When it came to my using the equipment, I was told that because the store did not open until 9:00 am the next day, I had to bring the transport back in less than 12 hours. I RENTED IT FOR A DAY _ NOT 12 HOURS! I will think long and hard before I rent from you again. I was told that my rental reservation was at 7:15 am. The store closes at 7:00 pm. Less than 12 hours later. In fairness you should refund 50% of the charges as your mistake cost me. It was your system that was down not mine. To improve for the next customer you should have 12 hour rentals.

Scheduled a 9 am pick-up but had to wait 40 minutes due to only 1 person working at the location. He did his best to get me on the road as soon as possible. Excellent service overall even though the location was understaffed.

the cargo van we rented smelled very strong of weed. It needed to be disenfected or something. My major complaint is when we went to drop the van off and you wanted us to do it online. We sat in the parking lot (not the nicest neighborhood) and tried to comply but after 20 minutes, we gave up. Then we saw where you said we would be charged $20 for not checking it back in online. You've got to be kidding. You need to make that return procedure alot easier.

I reserved the van in Augusta 5 days before the move. When I showed up there, no vehicle was available. I had to drive 20 miles to Waterville to pick up the vehicle. The folks at Watervile were great, but the folks in Augusta need some work!

You can have the truck we reserved ready at the agreed upon location. We had to go to Waterville to get a truck. We had reserved one for Belfast. We were given 75 miles to make up for the distance. It did not make up for it. Nothing was done about the inconvenience and loss of time. If there were anyone else to use, I would use them.

I was way over charged cuz you guys can put in the right miles I was charged double for my stuff I only drove 84 miles and payed 320 I will never send anyone your way EVER!!!

I would not recommend anyone use UHaul during the pandemic. The vehicle I used was not cleaned properly, especially given covid. There were no supplies provided to even self-clean the inside of the vehicle.Tthe staff are not being required to use masks. I went on two days and saw three staff, and none were wearing masks. I worked with very kind new employee who clearly had also not even been given adequate training as he was not aware of potential high-risk transmission actions, but was very polite when I brought it up.
