Truck had 2 inches of snow on the windshield and was parked too close to the next truck and I had to crawl through the passenger door. Upon starting the truck I soon realized that it was not running n all of its cylinders. As I was on a timeline and this was the only truck available on that size, I drove it off the yard. I was never sure if it would make it for the next mile. I won't be back and am considering not using UHaul ever again.

1. Truck had an oil can inside behind the seat that was spilled on the floor. 2. Not happy with UHaul regarding the fuel charge. Feel like I was ripped off.
The only issue I had was no parking at the facility which was a big inconvenience for us.
Location has probably the best vehicle selection in all of Abbotsford. Vehicle was dirty, including fries on the floor, left over face mask and other misc items. This Uhaul location is a gas station, yet the vehicle has less that a quarter tank of gas, not an issue for me as my home and move location was close, but this could be very frustrating for someone getting ready to move and picking up an almost empty vehicle. Staff was friendly.
Quick and efficient, recommend they have another computer for rentals so If, Like me, I reserved online signed in - I don't have to wait for those before me that have to do the entire process start to finish - thats annoying.
Our uhaul had broken glass on the floor of the cab (we were told the passenger side window had just been repaired) and old takeout food behind the driver seat that had gone moldy. It was not clean when we picked it up.
1. The cab was filthy but the box was clean. 2. We had reserved on line. There was no one there when we went to get the keys but we needed to wait for 45 minutes because of operator or system malfunction. 3. Service about the same on return unfortunately.
Not only was the Uhaul vehicle in poor condition (dirty with only 1 light bulb working in the back) but they also charged my credit card twice so now I need to do additional follow-up to have the 2nd charge reversed. I will never rent from the Huntingdon Rd location again.
Service and rates were perfect but the truck was not clean from inside.
I was shocked that the location also sold billy clubs and brass knuckles. Not a family friendly environment. I will not be returning to this address for uhaul.
I had an assigned time to pick up the truck, I arrived 10 min early when I entered the store no other customers were in the store we started filling out all of the paper work for app 15 min then a customer came in to the store and the clerk told me to stand aside so he could look after the customer I told him no I was here first let's Finnish the paper work so I could get going he did not like that about 2 min later we were finished. He told me what truck was mine and he handed me the keys. He did not go over the truck with me or do a walk around the unit. I drove the truck to my house so I could put my items into the van rear, there was about 7 wet blankets all over the floor of the van, I had to throw them up front out of the way, there also was a paper tray in the back full with about 20 squished packs of mustard and ketchup all around the unit was not clean at all. The cab had a half eaten bag of nuts on the cab floor and a half eaten pack of cookies and 2 empty water bottles on the floor I was not impressed. The trip and truck went great. When I returned the truck I parked it in the driveway next to the service door, the clerk told me I have to park the truck in the slot at the back of the lot I asked him do we not have to go over the unit? He said no just take a picture of the mileage and park the truck, I thought about it for a second then went and took the picture of the mileage. When I returned with the picture he told me I have to park the truck in the assigned spot, I told him that he would have to come out and guide me in to the parking spot he said no he can not leave the store, then I told him I can not park his truck. The U Haul facility and truck were great but the people looking after the store and your trucks are not giving you the attention you deserve there should at least be someone to check in and out the truck with the customer I do not ever carry a cell phone to take pictures but luckily I did have a tablet. I will continue to use u haul but never at that location.
Make them aware that all locations are not affiliated. Insure that your employees are documenting important notes for all to reference. NOTE: Even though there were some break downs in communication. They corrected this with compensation.
Have the vehicle fully fueled for pickup, so when it is returned it is filled back to full.
When I went to pick up a truck driving 20 Km. The girl told me I can not park my vehicle here and I have to take it with me. I am the only person in my household who has a licence and do not know if someone would help me. The store did not call me ahead of time that I will need two drivers. Also she was laughing at the time she was telling this to me. Man! so I can not move today??? I had to argue a lot crazy on the day of moving. This was aweful service. When I went to drop the truck she disrepectfully asked me to get the picture of odometer and fuel guage. I went out and took picture. When I showed the picture to her she questioned me that is this now or when you left in the morning? No respect.
Front end suspension needs work big time. Wandered all over the place brakes aren't great either

Very poor service by this agent. In my view he needs retraining . when picking up there was no walk around the vehicle for inspection before leaving with it on the return, I was told to park the vehicle at the back of the lot. (the lot at back is very tightly spaced making it difficult for vehicles.)This is something You should not tell the customer to do. . Also, I told to take photo of the gas gauge and the mileage upon return. I was really unhappy with the overall service and the non concerned attitude.
Upon returning the equipment it turned out noone on staff can drive ,I had to personally get other customers to move their vehicles then park my U-Haul in a tight space in the compound. Move it again to another spot because they wanted it elsewhere The employee didn't have her phone to take a picture of the dash readings then told me to do it. My phone was in my purse across the busy street in my car with my son ,whom I had to get to park there because of traffic congestion in the lot. The employee was miffed because she had to go get her phone... It took far to long to complete the check out paperwork . I asked for a paper receipt which they didn't initially seem to know how to provide. All in all a very irritating experience on the return of the vehicle. The employee who gave me my rental was very professional and quick.
Mentioned we had booked a 26' truck but were downgraded. Had a 26' in stock but didn't offer it.
The issue is not with the location itself, it's with the organization. I booked the rental of the truck + trailer a week before. And the day before pick up, you call me to tell me that the truck and trailer are not available in the city and I had to travel 40km to get it.. After insisting you found a (bigger) truck and a trailer in 2 different locations in the city I wanted. You sent me an email with the new location for the truck, but not for the trailer, so I assumed the trailer was at the initial location, which it wasn't. It took me 3hrs to pick up the truck and trailer. That's unacceptable!
I walked in to pick up the keys and the guy said I couldn't park on the property; As if I should have known. So I had to park down the road and up a side street. There was plenty of room on site. The guy was rude and I will find another option the next time I have something extra large to move.
Improvement required is required for the U-Haul website because there was difficulty connecting to the site and to the financial connection. The Huntington location staff (Mahima) was fantastic. She was polite, knowledgeable, helpful and professional which will bring me back to this location in future.
Make sure the size of truck booked is what's received the day of the move. Getting a smaller truck, without prior notice, was a huge inconvenience.
I booked a 20' truck 3 weeks in advance and got a call the day before we were moving that our truck would not be available at the location we booked. We could either get a smaller truck in North Surrey or pick up a truck in Abbotsford. We booked in Langley so that was annoying and inconvenient. It took about 45 minutes to get the truck as there was only one person at the desk in Abbotsford. This put us behind schedule. Then, we ordered to use 2 dozen furniture pads, but were told on arrival that they only had 12 furniture pads for us. We were reimbursed accordingly, but unprepared to pack with only half the number of furniture pads.
Was sent to the wrong location and had wait over an hour to get a new location where they charged us more money because they didn't "feel" going to a seperate location was a good reason to have less gas and be later.
