The van I was driving and rented was in perfect shape. I dropped it off in perfect shape. When I turned into my keys, the representative asked me if everything was OK and did I fill up the tank. I said yes. He said you’re good to go. I said you don’t need anything else from me or to look at the vehicle? He said you’re good to go. So I left. That evening I got a email from U-Haul with a $450 bill for damage to the vehicle. So when I called Carter Brothers in Ann Arbor to ask why I was being charged so much. They said there was damage to the window. I said there was no damage to the window. They said yes there was and that is why I was being charged an extra $150. But it would’ve been more if I had not got the insurance. I asked that I would not be charged that amount and they said that I would be anyway. I even called back to talk to a manager. The manager was rude and said they always do the same process. That it was my choice to leave before they did the inspection. I was never told they were going to do an inspection and that I could just leave. They did send one picture to U-Haul. A close-up of a window. A window with a crack. That window could have been on any vehicle. I find it alarming how they did not do the inspection when I was there. How they charged me the extra amount without even calling me and letting me know that there was extra damage so I could come look at the vehicle. And very disappointed in the manager and how he treated the situation.

Vitor CThe app made pick up a little clunky. You had to walk to the door to scan the code, then walk all the way out to where the trucks are parked, then walk all the way back to the door to get the keys.
