Truck needed repair could not open back of cab don't send someone who was suppose to pick up a truck in fortuna all the way to Arcata I've rented uhaul for more than 40 years would you put your 68 year old mother in a truck the back does not open??? We greased wheel bearing 3x with wd40 and it still took a strong man who had to strain to get the back of the truck open and gas is too high at pick up place. Stop sending your junk trucks on a 860 mile 1 way and sending your customers to locations they did not choose. I ordered this truck weeks before arrival and when I went to rent it I was told no truck was available the dealer put the word out to get me a truck. You are suppose to call a customer way in advance if you have no truck for them. This was a junk truck they wanted to send on a one way. It had been in an accident very noisy cab because the cab was glued on very vary disappointed. The dealer run a small gas station grocery store the trucks are across the street in a field he c ant leave his store to help. For around town 10 foot trucks I would recommend this dealerMarjory P.

I would like my $50 money back guarantee on this rental. I was promised that there would be a auto transport dolly available at the eureka location and when I arrived the dolly was not available. I had to drive to Arcata which added an additional hour to my commute withe drop off. A complete inconvenience what is the point of a reservation if it's not honoredJOSE S.

Truck was filthy, goopy stuff in the cup holders, greasy stuff all over the seats. I mean this was the most dirty uhaul truck I have ever picked up. Staff at this location also tried to charge me cleaning supplies and I had to clean the truck myself. This location is very disappointing. I don't feel as though the truck was cleaned. In the time of Covid, if you had the pick-up location deep clean the trucks interior, I think I would have had a better time driving. I wiped everything down prior to my trip, then wore a mask and gloves. So I guess either quick interior cleans with wipes or something for guests will be great. The guy told me that these are moving fast and that Uhaul is overbooking. These trucks could be little Covid incubators if not cleaned consistently. Maybe they are and I over looked it? My truck was dusty and there was food left over from the last person. I also picked it up in a dirt lot over half a mile away from where I scheduled to pick it up.Douglas K.
Make sure the people completing reservations are fully trained in all U-haul policies and do not give incomplete or inaccurate information. That said, everyone I talked to was very helpful and friendly despite that.Michael E.

Our truck broke down 45 minutes into a long trip. It took 4 hours to get us back on the road putting us way behind and now having to drive in the dark which we were trying to prevent. This is the third rental my husband and I have had and each one has broken down.Charlotte A.
Great customer service. I believe the equipment was maintained as well as possible. By that I mean, it looked like all the shitty U-Haul Equipment in America was brought to that location for them to rent out. It was clean, but looked like it just finished a tour in Iraq. The site was clean, and customer service was/is top notch. But they're options for rental looked beat to shit. It started out great. Quick courteous service. And then halfway to my loading site I noticed the check engine light was on as well as a check gas cap light. When I called to report, I was told â€œoh yeah, that's because the last renter lost the gas cap, so it was replaced with a different one. I had to go to a different location to actually get the truck, but the mobile check out process made me bring it to the original location to check it out, and I had to take it back to the other location when I was done and bring the keys back to the first location.
