It is 24 hours later and I didn't receive a receipt. Your employee stated that if I paid by a debit/credit card I would have my receipt emailed to me. I still haven't receive my receipt.

I made a reservation for a Uhaul truck on 8 mile between Evergreen and Southfield Fwy and when I arrived to pick up the truck I was told that I was left a voicemail telling me to pick up from another location. I never got the voicemail. Once I got to the new location where I was told to go pick up the truck (9 Mile and Telegraph) I was told that they were out of trucks and could not service me. I eventually found a truck at the 8 mile and Telegraph location and they were fast and friendly. There was no apology at neither one of the 2 stores for delaying my time by a hour. Please make sure locations have trucks before over booking.

It took me almost an hour at this store. During the walk-around of the truck the pictures of the truck look as if they have never been updated. The pictures showed a newer truck with no damage at all. The first truck they tried renting me had extremely bent and broken skirting, dented bumpers and the graphics on the sides of the truck were all torn and peeling off. Which I could've dealt with until after about 10 mins of taking pics of the sides and rear of the truck. Once I got to taking pics of the front of the truck I noticed that it didn't even have a right turn signal assembly, it was broken off the truck completely. So I had to go back inside and inform them of the damage to the truck. After informing manager of the damage to the truck she swapped my truck out for another one and was given another truck that looked almost the same condition besides it had both turn signals. After 10 more minutes of updating pics of damage (so I wouldnt be charged) for damage I didn't do I finally left the lot with the truck. Once on Telegraph rd I noticed the front suspension was a little loose so I just made sure to take it slow and drive cautiously to avoid pot holes etc. I finally got to my customers house(2hours late) and couldn't back the truck in their driveway because the power steering unit wasn't working properly so I had to load the truck from the street. I returned the truck during my rental period and informed the employee checking in trucks that the power steering wasn't working properly, the front suspension was loose and that I overfilled the gas to make sure I wasn't charged a service fee of 35.00 and 4.50gallon and his only response to me was" where he marks the tank is where the next customers trip starts". He had nothing to say about the truck functioning improperly. All in all the ladies in the office were helpful and courteous but the upkeep condition of the trucks are subpar. Also, I've been driving commercial trucks for 17years. I've clocked near a million miles and the 49 miles I drove this uhaul was the worst experience with uhaul I have ever had(mechanically)

Not much but when a handicap person walking with a cane comes in maybe you could bring the vehicle up to the building. Don't have them walking to where the vehicle is parked in the lot.

Seeing it's COVID season I decided to get u-haul through your app. I selected the option to pick up the vehicle myself. Went through all the prompts on your app and finally got to the step to grab the key from the safety box. As I was punching in the code to retrieve the key. A u-haul employee walked up to me and demanded to see what I was doing. She then made me show her my phone to see what I had on there. She then proceeded to open the safety box herself, telling me only she can retrieve the key and then grabbed the key at which point I got annoyed and told her she was wrong to have grabbed my key (CONSIDERING WE ARE STILL IN A PANDEMIC) and I had chosen to use the "pick it up myself" option. I told her she wasn't supposed to intervene or even walk upto me without a mask and grabbing my keys. At which point she proceeded to curse me out. This was the worst customer experience ever and I will not be using u-haul again at this location or any other for that matter.

When I finally got the keys to the truck it was not clean. It had a cardboard visor still in the windshield. There was only 1/4 tank of gas in the truck when I received the keys. When I returned the truck, I filled it with the 1/4 tank of gas I was given and I was still charged for gas. I will not rent from this location again. I will not recommend this location to anyone and I will strongly consider options other than Uhaul in the future.

The UHAUL truck smelled like stale cigars/cigarettes and anyone that has respiratory issues it would take their breathe away.If it wasn't an emergency situation for me I wouldn't have taken the vehicle.

This location was short staffed but still helpful. I recommend that they make sure that the vehicle is maintenance well in advanced not while the customer is there. Because the customer is on a time limit.

When we picked the u-haul up the engine light was in and the oil light was on . The mechanic at u-haul put 8 qts of oil in it to get it full , the u-haul had the worst when alignment I've ever felt driving a vehicle and it smelled horribly of cigarettes I would not recommend this location at all if my life depended on it

On top of being rude in general during our truck rental process, the manager would not honor what the phone customer service promised for the storage unit we reserved. I was told twice my 1st month would be free. U-Haul records calls so that could easily be confirmed since I knew exactly when I called. We left & tried customer service on the phone again, which after 40minutes on hold said there was nothing they could do (untrue as they could have applied a credit). So after the terrible experience, I went with a slightly more expensive storage company who didn't have a first month free but much better service. I wonder if people do math in these situations? For the length of time I'm probably storing items they would have made 15-18 times the value of 1 free month. During these times, if I'm spending upwards of $3000 somewhere, I want to at least like the business. It's worth it to spend more with a smaller company who values my patronage. I'm an event producer so I move & store things frequently. This is the 3rd strike for U-Haul & they'll never see my money again.
